The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a statement voicing support for the Press Statement of the Spokesperson for Korean Association for Human Rights Studies of the DPRK issued on the 18th of March ;
Recently the European Union (EU) tabled an anti-DPRK human rights resolution at the 49th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. This is not the first time this happened but is one of many occasions on which the EU has taken a hostile stand towards the DPRK and gone to the lengths of submitting resolutions to the UN bodies in order to vilify and stifle the socialist system of the DPRK.
What the actions of the EU in the UN Human Rights Council prove is that firstly , the EU is a puppet of the United States , secondly , that the EU is playing the role of a shock brigade in the 'human rights' offensive against People's Korea. As the Spokesperson for Korean Association for Human Rights Studies of the DPRK points out 'It is a well-known fact to everybody that the EU, taking sides with the U.S. in its hostile policy against the DPRK, broke off the DPRK-EU human rights dialogue and cooperation which were in full swing, and has been orchestrating anti-DPRK “human rights” racket every year as if it is an annual event since it surprisingly submitted a “resolution” at the 59th Session of the UN Commission on Human Rights."
The unelected Brussels bureaucrats have no face to criticise the DPRK for 'human rights violations ' because the EU has a shocking record on human rights . Non-white refugees are subjected to appalling treatment , there is widespread police violence and many EU states are heading towards fascism . Moreover in the EU there are many unemployed and homeless people .
By contrast the DPRK even in the difficult situation of the global pandemic and the draconian sanctions against it ( including the ones imposed by the EU itself ) is maintaining free health care , free education and virtually free housing . The DPRK has recently taken a number of measures to enhance conditions for children in kindgergartens and nurseries .
The EU's anti-DPRK human rights resolution is full of lies ! We strongly denounce it and support the just and correct statment made by the Spokesperson for Korean Association for Human Rights Studies of the DPRK .
