An online seminar with the title ‘ KIM JONG IL and Songun Politics ‘ was organised by the International Central Committee for Songun Study (ICCSS) to the mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade
KIM JONG IL . It took place on the 15th of February at 1000 hours GMT .
It was participated in by representatives of Songun study organisations from Bangladesh , UK ,Nepal and USA .
Dr Dermot Hudson hon secretary general of the ICCS opened the meeting saying that the Day of the Shining Star is celebrated by the Korean people and world progressive people including Songun idea followers.
Dr M Jahanghir Khan chairman of the ICCSS and publisher of the Bangladesh Daily Folk spoke of the need to rally Songun idea followers and combat imperialist propaganda against People’s Korea and Songun .
Dr Khan in his keynote speech said that “Thus comrade KIM JONG IL correctly taught that the struggle for independence was not merely confined to one country or one region of the world but was a
worldwide struggle. Comrade KIM JONG IL put forward the strategic line of all countries, all nations and all peoples advocating independence should unite under the revolutionary banner of anti-imperialism and independence. This line was very militant but at the same time firmly grounded in reality as it argued for the maximum unity possible, it argued that all forces opposed to imperialism should be united”
Phanindra Raj Pant vice Chairman of the ICCS and head of the Nepal Association for Supporting Songun Policy pointed out that ‘ Thanks to the eternal President great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and eternal dear great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, today, the idea of self-reliance and army -first politics are developed in all fields of the Korean people's lives. Therefore, Korea has become a strong and powerful socialist country, independent in ideology, self-reliant in economy and capable in defending the sovereignty of the country. Korean people are enjoying happy life receiving basic needs of their life free and compulsory education, free medical care, and above all love and affection from the great leaders and Korea is now free from pollution, free from any kind of tax system, free from any dangerous diseases AIDS and Covid -19 pandemic and its variants among other. These all became possible only through the implication of the policy of self-reliance and Songun”
Dr Dermot Hudson in his speech stressed that ‘The whole life of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL is associated with the Songun revolutionary leadership and Songun politics. There is no doubt that the administration of Songun politics by the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL reliably defended the Korean revolution and People’s Korea from the threat of aggression by the US imperialists. The DPRK under the leadership of Generalissimo KIM JONG IL faced down the US imperialists over the nuclear issue. It is now admitted by the US that it failed in its objective of denuclearising the DPRK.
Songun politics has had international repercussions. The Songun politics encourages the struggle of the people over the world, with great attraction”
Chris Bovet of the Association for the Study of Songun Politics of America and also Juche Idea Study Group USA and KFAUSA said ( in part ) “Born during the anti-Japanese liberation struggle, Kim Jong Il developed the Juche idea further and lead the country to victory with Songun. He spent his life at the side of the people, giving field guidance and devoting himself to them; the slogans “We Serve the People!” and “The People are God” were the lifetime mottos of Chairman Kim Jong Il. His lifetime motto was expressed by his love for people; if there
is an omnipotent entity in the world, it is none other than the masses”
Messages from the Brazilian Centre for the Study of the Juche Idea and from Mali were read out .A paper from Prof Omar Lopez of Venezuela was also received .
A message to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was shown .
The short documentary ‘ Korea’s Songun Miracle ‘ was shown.
