Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Sixty-two years have passed after the birth of the Chongsanri Spirit and Chongsanri Method, the idea and method of leadership over the masses embodying the revolutionary mass line of the Workers' Party of Korea, in the DPRK.
The Chongsanri Spirit and Chongsanri Method were created by President Kim Il Sung. Late in the 1950s, the President set forth an issue of fundamentally improving the work system and method of the Party and the state in keeping with the new situation in which a socialist system was established in the country. To this end, he had personally guided the work of Chongsan-ri and the then Kangso County Party Committee for 15 days in February Juche 49 (1960).
From the point of view that the overall work of Chongsan-ri was reflected in its peasants' housekeeping, he visited several farm families of the ri to acquaint himself in detail with their living conditions. And he had a consultative meeting with officials of the ri and talks with officials of the county, learning in detail about the conditions of the county.
In the course, he grasped mistakes and major reasons revealed in the management of the rural economy and gave an important instruction to be maintained in developing the socialist rural economy and guiding the masses at the historic general membership meeting of the Chongsan-ri Party Committee held on February 8.
The Chongsanri Spirit is the most scientific and revolutionary idea on leadership over the masses which comprehensively embodies the requirements of the Juche idea on thinking everything by focusing on the people and serving them. And the Chongsanri Method is the one that the upper body helps the lowers and officials settle knotty problems on the spot and carry out the tasks by giving priority to political work, work with people in all undertakings and enlisting the revolutionary enthusiasm and creative ingenuity of the masses.
The Chongsanri Spirit and Chongsanri Method, carried forward by Chairman Kim Jong Il, are now fully displaying their vitality under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. -0-
