History Shows that Imperialism is Doomed to Defeat

Cheers of hurrah of the generation of victors, which enveloped the whole planet with jubilation and strong emotions 68 years ago, are echoing throughout this land together with the cheerful melody of “July 27 March” resonating in the sky of July.

July 27 is a glorious day of victory for the creators of heroic myth in the 20th century. They brought the ringleader of imperialism to its knee, who had been boasting of the myth of its “strength”. Celebrating this event is a privilege which the great victors only can enjoy beyond years and centuries.

The great fatherland liberation war against the aggression of allied forces of imperialism was a war of ideology between socialism and capitalism as well as the one between justice and injustice. It was a more serious and fierce fight than the World War I aimed at re-dividing the colonies, or the World War II fought against Nazism.

The balance of power between our forces and the enemy couldn’t literally be compared. The enemy heavily outnumbered or overpowered our forces in everything, be it the number of population, size of territory, economic power and armaments.

The aggressors, who came across the ocean, had mobilized all of its latest military equipment and indiscriminately showered bombs and germs on us. Not satisfied with this, they even blackmailed us with atomic bombs. Because of this, tears of blood ran everywhere on this land where nothing was left intact.

However, as we held in high esteem the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander, our young Republic, only two years after its foundation, could have worked an unprecedented miracle in the world history of wars and achieved a brilliant victory against the ringleader of imperialism and mastermind behind wars. It also could have recorded a new page of epoch-making event that shattered the geopolitical fatalism with regards to Korean peninsula – a peninsula of manifold tribulations.

Juche-oriented and unique military ideas, strategy and tactics put forth by great Comrade Kim Il Sung, his outstanding art of command, boundless love for and trust in people, noble sense of moral obligation and his great and deep generosity and magnanimity – these are what brought up all sons and daughters of the country into heroes and heroines, propelled the entire army and all the people towards victory and glory and melted away up-to-date weaponry often bragged about by the enemies into three-pence scrap iron during the grim war time.

The history of mankind recorded nations that went downhill and came to an end in the scourges of war. However, there has never been a nation like Kim Il Sung nation that became stronger hundred times having gained more than it lost and declared a great victory.

How can we ever forget the cheers of hurrah and splendid display of fireworks at the celebration square for the victory in the war, in reverence for great Comrade Kim Il Sung with his radiant smile on his face! On that very day of victory, our fatherland, once subjected to the sorrow of a small and weak nation, rose as a dignified heroic country at the heart of the world.

“Chunsaengmun Incident”, “Moving to the Russian Legation” “Ulmi Incident” and “Ulsa 5-Point Treaty” among others are part of the history of subservience and national ruin, the history stained with bitter tears of our nation in the late 19th century and in the early 20th century. This was widely accepted as a geopolitical fatalism of a small country conquered and brought down to its knees by the empires through their aggression and interference.

In order not to repeat such a tragic history, our army and people, firmly united around great Comrade Kim Il Sung wrote a great history of victory in the 1950s by waging a life-or-death battle of a rifle vs. an A-bomb, through which our Republic rose up high as a country of heroes and heroines and a country of miracles, having put the formidable imperialist enemy, which boasted itself of not having lost even a single war among more than 100 wars, on a downhill towards ruin.

We celebrate July 27 as the eternal V-Day because, on this very day, the victorious tradition of heroic Korea has struck its roots and we also firmly defended the eastern post of socialism, thus reliably safeguarding global peace as well as the security of socialist countries.

Our service personnel and people, who have inherited the noble spirit of the victorious wartime generation, are overcoming unprecedented adversity and steadily advancing along the path of self-development under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. And our state has been able to possess a power so strong that no hostile forces would dare to provoke.

Times have changed.

Those who drive the dark clouds of war over this land again will have no other choice but to accept our merciless punishment as ultimate fate, no matter who they are or where they are on our planet.

June 25 is followed by the victorious July 27.

This is the proud declaration of the victors of the great years.
