ASSPUK, BGSI , UK KFA and BSCPRKP hail 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers ' Party of Korea .

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) , UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP)issued the following joint statement hailing the 3rd Plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers ' Party of Korea ;

  The 3rd Plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK ) was held from the 15th of June to the 18th of June in Pyongyang , the capital of the Korean revolution. Present at the meeting was not only members of the central leadership organ of  the WPK but also observers from provincial and city party organs and from factories etc . The meeting was of crucial importance and put forward tasks to powerfully carry forward the work of the Party and state .

   At the meeting respected Marshal KIM JONG UN pointed out that the economic plan had been over-fulfilled at 144 per cent and industrial output had soared by 25 per cent as compared to the same period last year . This is an amazing result and means that the DPRK is the fastest growing country in the world . At the same time respected Marshal KIM JONG UN stressed the need to increase grain production and overcome problems created by the typhoons last year  .

     Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN called for giving full play to the indomitable revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude .

   Moreover , on the issue of external relations respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said that the DPRK should prepare for both dialogue and confrontation with the US . In particular the DPRK should be well prepared for confrontation . This shows that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has no illusions about the US but is maintaining a firm but fair stance .

Our organisations applaud the decisions of the 3rd plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee believing that they will speed the building of self-reliant ,Juche-based socialism .
