Jong Kwang Hyok, a worker of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, told KCNA:

The election of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the general secretary of the WPK at its 8th Congress is the greatest honor and pride of the DPRK people. We will play a vanguard role in upholding his idea and leadership with loyalty.

Yun Hyok, a teacher of Kim Il Sung University, said:

We are greatly excited with the highly important guidelines for overall development of Korean-style socialism advanced at the 8th WPK Congress. I came to know well about the general goal of education, which is to make education the one that can be fully entrusted with our future. I will conduct education work methodologically to train talents conducive to the development of the country's chemical industry.

Kim Won Min, department director of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, said:

I came to cherish again our Party's three ideals of "The people are God," "single-hearted unity" and "self-reliance".

My resolution is to work heart and soul to carry out the decision of the 8th WPK Congress indicating new goals of struggle and innovative ways for implementing them.

I will devote my efforts to bringing about a radical advance in the work of better transforming the whole country into a socialist fairyland, a beautiful land as befitting the era of the Workers' Party in the period of the five-year plan for national economic development. -0-
