Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Floral Basket to Friendship Tower











 Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, sent a floral basket to the Friendship Tower on Oct. 21, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.


The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army (KPA) lined up at the tower.


The national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the DPRK were played.


A floral basket bearing the august name of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was laid at the tower.


Written on the ribbon of the floral basket were letters "The Martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers Will Be Immortal".


Placed at the tower were floral baskets in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the WPK Central Military Commission, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, the Cabinet of the DPRK and the KPA.


Present at the ceremony was Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.


Kim Su Gil, Thae Hyong Chol, Ri Ryong Nam and Kim Yong Hwan, members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, Ri Chang Gun, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, Pak Myong Ho, vice minister of Foreign Affairs, and Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as the chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, were on hand.


The participants paid a silent tribute to the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers, who became true role models in displaying noble internationalism and fraternal friendship by dedicating their invaluable lives, and looked round the tower. -0-
