An immensely successful online meeting was held at 1430 hours on the 9th of October 2020 . The meeting was hosted by the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea . Participating in the meeting were members of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and UK Korean Friendship Association from London, Stoke On Trent and the West Country , also, the Juche Idea Study Group of Ireland KFA Switzerland , KFA Greece. KFA Serbia and KFA members in Poland . Written contributions were received from the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea and the head of the Brazilian Centre for the Study of Songun Politics .
Dr Dermot Hudson chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche and chairman of the UK Korean Friendship Association introduced the meeting stressing the importance of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers Party of Korea.
A representative of KFA Switzerland read out the message of the Chairman of KFA Switzerland , the Swiss Korea Committee and Swiss Juche Idea Study Group which read in part “ For all these great historic feats, the WPK enjoys also the respect, admiration and support of the whole progressive mankind.
The WPK is the creator of the people's happiness. It made of socialist Korea the people's paradise, guided by its great leaders' maxime The People are my God!
The Korean people will celebrate proudly the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the WPK!
And the world progressives congratulate it wholeheartedly."
Dr Dermot Hudson spoke recalling visiting the DPRK on the occasion of the 75th anniversary and being impressed with the military parade. He said that “ 75 years ago President KIM IL SUNG founded the Workers Party of Korea(WPK) which became the organiser and guide of the Korean people and the supreme general staff of the Korean revolution .It has led seven decades of successful socialist construction in People's Korea .. Today many revolutionary parties and people look up to the WPK as a model of party building . The WPK has withstood the tests of time and is a most durable party that guides the building of socialism in Korea and is true to its basic principles.
Today the Korean people under the banner of self-reliance are breaking through many obstacles including the harsh sanctions of the imperialists . Only victory and glory is in store for the Korean people led by the great Workers' Party of Korea guided by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN’
Shaun Pickford general secretary of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of the Stoke On Trent branch of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of Staffordshire KFA said “At the 7th Congress of the WPK, KIM JONG UN unveiled a programme of building the DPRK into the great and prosperous socialist power which will be the envy of the world. The strategic line was advanced of carrying on economic construction and building up the nuclear forces while maintaining self-reliance. In the years 2019 and 2020, many plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the WPK have been held at the initiative of KIM JONG UN. The WPK has dealt with the threats of Covid 19 and flood damage. The 8th Congress of the WPK is going to be convened in January 2021 with a set of tasks placed before it.”
The Chairman of the Juche Idea Study Group of Ireland said “ On that day the 10th October 1945 (Juche 34) when the glorious Workers Party of Korea was founded. The Korean people no longer had to worry or be afraid for the future. The Party and the people become one large unified mass. They had created their own destiny and that destiny is what we see today in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea under the leadership of Respected Supreme Leader Marshal KIM JONG UN. A country full of rich culture, values, proletarian power, anti imperialist and most importantly a self sufficient country which has a high standard of living opposed to capitalist countries around the world. ‘
The written contribution of the head of the Brazilian Centre for the Study of Songun Politics said in part “In the capitalist countries a political party often represents only an organization of businessmen willing to exploit the masses and sell the nation’s resources, in Korea the Workers’ Party is the revolutionary vanguard that maintains the great political spirit of resistance of the Korean people in the face of Yankee imperialism. It is a genuine
party of the masses and the mother of all Korean people… In today’s Korea, Comrade President Kim Jong Un firmly leads the Party’s
helm, which has built a military, political, social and economic power in Korea, raising the prosperous standard of living for the people of the DPRK. Each day more the DPRK gains relevance on the international stage and the economy has progressively progressed over time. This is the result of the hard work of the WPK, which works with the people to increase the production of factories and fields and meet the needs of the population.”
The message of the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea said
I send my warm salutation to online meeting on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK.
As you know, the Workers’ Party of Korea is the great party led by President KIM IL SUNG, Chairman KIM JONG IL and Supreme Leader KIM JONG UN.
The WPK has recorded victories for seventy five years.
The grand celebrations will display invincibility of the WPK.
The WPK is highly praised by south Korean revolutionaries and the world's progressives.
We are looking up to the WPK as a guiding banner in the independence age steering the Korean nation and humanity.
The WPK will achieve victory led by the great leader generation after generation.

The representative of KFA Serbia brought greetings from KFA Serbia to the meeting and made a speech which in part said "The WPK, which is the organizer and guide of Korean working masses, has always fought to achieve the socialist ideal in the Korean revolution. Even in the early days when it was founded and in the programs of the predecessor party organizations organized by the President KIM IL SUNG the people-first principle has guided the socialist ideals of the Korean socialists, communists and patriots who fought to establish an independent socialist, workers’ state in the Korean peninsula"
The representative of KFA Greece brought the greetings of KFA Greece to the meeting.
A member of UK KFA from the West Country praised the Workers Party of Korea and said he would conduct even stronger and energetic activities in support of KFA and People’s Korea.
Participants praised the Workers Party of Korea and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN.
Staffordshire KFA said that they would hold their own celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Workers Party of Korea .
A message to dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted.
