The DPRK had warned that they would take this measure ,clarifying its stance though the statements of comrade Kim Yo Jong first vice-director of the department of the central committee of the ruling Workers ' Party of Korea (WPK) as well as the statements of the United Front department of the WPK
As a matter of fact no one was injured in the explosion . The building had been empty since January and in fact had not served any purpose for a long time because south Korea had signally failed to implement its side of the historic inter-Korean agreements of 2018 . There was nothing for the DPRK to liaise with south Korea. The building had become nothing but useless bricks , glass and concrete serving no purpose whatsoever.
Worse still there occurred wanton violations of the inter-Korean agreements namely so-called 'defectors ' using the frontline areas to conduct anti-DPRK leaflet scattering operations . These operations were deeply offensive to the people of the DPRK as they slandered the supreme leadership of the DPRK. The people of the DPRK value the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK very highly indeed.
The leaflet scattering is an act of psychological warfare it is very similar to what the Nazis did during the Second War . My late mother remembers the Nazi bombers dropping leaflets over Portsmouth in the Second World War . Of course the 'defector's are basically like far right fascist hooligans . Moreover the leaflets scattering operation , which is financed by the US CIA , is aimed to bringing down the socialist system in People's Korea , restoring capitalism and making the northern part of Korea as colony of imperialism.
The south Korean authorities bleated that the leaflet scattering operation had nothing to do with them , that they regretted it , that they were sorry and that they would put a stop to it . The south Korean authorities have had two years to do this . It would have been easy for them to have simply put the 'defectors ' under house arrest and prevented the leaflet scattering taking place . The plain fact is anyway is the defectors live off money given to them by the south Korean authorities so it is a joke for the south Korean authorities to attempt to distance themselves from the 'defectors' . If the south Korean authorities genuinely desired peace and inter-Korean co-operation they should not offer money to people to 'defect ' from the DPRK !
The south Korean authorities have been totally two-faced and dishonest in their dealings with the DPRK . Their aim was not reunification on the basis of independence but to induce the DPRK into 'reform' and 'opening up' , to gradually whittle down Juche and restore capitalism in the DPRK . Moon Jae In the south Korean chief executive ( who has a net worth of $1 million dollars) appears to be Tony Blair figure. Blair was well known for being two-faced and hypocritical as well as for his destruction of 'old Labour ' and the creation of 'New Labour ' (Conservatism in a different guise ) .
The DPRK does not need anything from south Korea . After all south Korea was created by the US at a bayonet point 75 years ago . A US colonel simply draw a line with a pencil and a ruler across a map of Korea , this dividing Korea . The US seized control of south Korea and created a puppet regime there . The present south Korean authorities have never challenged the presence of US troops in south Korea . South Korea is a puppet regime and a rotten neo-colony .It's culture is a copy of American and Japanese culture.
Two years ago , south Korea was saying that the DPRK would 'open a McDonalds ' in Pyongyang and 'join the IMF' . This was recycled by the mainstream media and some ultra leftist elements believed it and were disturbed by it . This idea was laughed in Pyongyang while we were there.
To me the demolition of the inter-Korean liaison office was an answer to these false rumours , a decisive rebuff to those who want to blow the wind of bourgeois liberalisation and capitalism into People's Korea , the land of Juche . The DPRK will go its own way and live its own way .It will advance powerfully along the road of Juche and self-reliance.
The idea of capitalist restoration in People's Korea was blown up for good on the 16th of June 2020 ! The DPRK was absolutely right to do blow up the inter-Korean liaison office.
