Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Japan revealed once again its image as the dirtiest human rights abuser and a barbarous state in the world.
On May 10, the Japanese right-wing gangsters committed such unpardonable atrocity before Korean University as frantically slandering the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Korean University, holding posters and placards reading "Korean University is one of death", "Tokyo metropolis, Cancel the approval of incorporation of Korean University", etc.
The riot, which was committed at a time when an emergency situation was declared across Japan due to the spread of COVID-19, is another grave challenge to the DPRK and Chongryon and a deliberate and barbarous criminal act committed under the open patronage of the Japanese authorities.
The successive Japanese reactionaries have gone desperate in their despicable moves to discriminate against the Koreans and suppress them whenever an opportunity presented itself, while regarding the Korean nation as a thorn in the flesh.
The barbarians who turned the whole country into a theatre of rampage against the Koreans in the wake of the great Kanto quake in the past century have resorted to the reckless act of national exclusionism such as the shooting spree at the Central Hall of Chongryon and the case of breaking windows of Korean kindergarten in Tsurumi and others in the new century, too.
The ceaseless moves against the DPRK and Chongryon in Japan can never be seen as personal act by some gangsters.
It is a state-sponsored crime which has openly been committed by the government authorities that imbue the whole Japanese society with the chronic spirit of exclusionism against Koreans in a systematic way after setting the hostile policy towards the DPRK as the state policy.
Last year the Abe government excluded the facilities for upbringing children under Korean schools in Japan from the system of "free infant education and upbringing". And following its footsteps, the Saitama City authorities stopped the supply of face masks to the kindergarten of Korean school some days ago, and as for the recent riot, though the side of Korean University demanded a halt to it, tens of policemen who arrived in the scene took no measure and, as a result, the two-hour-riot created a gruesome atmosphere. Such facts give a clear answer to the source of all the discrimination acts against the Korean nation.
The desperate moves of the Japanese reactionaries to tarnish the images of the DPRK and Chongryon pursuant to the U.S. frantic hostile policy towards the DPRK are as foolish acts as trying to eclipse the sun with bare hand.
The Abe authorities, before claiming a sort of dialogue, should bear in mind that it is Chongryon that represents the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK in Japan.
It is an unshakable will of our people to regard any persecution and suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan as a grave infringement upon the DPRK and take resolute counteraction.
Whenever Japan goes recklessly while hurling gangsters into doing harm and undermining the patriotic cause of Chongryon and dampening the ardent patriotism of Korean youth in Japan, our people's hatred against Japan will further increase and the Japanese authorities will be held wholly accountable for all the ensuing consequences. -0-
