Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Syrian President
Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 17.
The message extended warm congratulations to the president, government and people of Syria on behalf of the DPRK government and people on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of its independence, a significant national holiday of the Syrian people.
The message said that the people of the DPRK are sincerely pleased to see the friendly Syrian people making great progress in accomplishing the cause of justice for defending the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, peace and security under the correct leadership of the president, and wholeheartedly wish them bigger success in their future work for the country's reconstruction and independent development.
It expressed the belief that the good friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries with long history and tradition would steadily develop in the common struggle for independence and justice. -0
