Commentary of AINDF Spokesman- on the south Korean "international memorial day'

The south Korean authorities instituted July 27 the day of UN forces’ participation in the Korean War and November 11 the international memorial day for the fallen soldiers of the UN forces.
In this regard, the authorities are emphatic about “cordial reception for the UN soldiers” and “promotion of friendship with the nations participated in the war”, while pushing ahead excavation of their merit and invitation meetings with them.
It is a shameful conduct of the authorities that they whitewash the history of the US-led war crimes and fawn upon the US.
It is a matter of common knowledge that the US unleashed the Korean War on June 25, 1950.
The US army and mercenaries from the vassal states under the UN berets massacred the Korean nation without distinction of sex and reduced the Korean Peninsula to a heap of ashes.
It is the height of shamefulness that the authorities make high estimation of their merit, far from taking them up to international tribunal, and anti-national act of traitor to the nation who has not an iota of soul of the Korean nation.
History commemorates the “day of participation” designated by the authorities as the V-Day of north Korea and records “memorial day” as the one of miserable scene.
Broad segments of south Korean people should make combined efforts to liquidate the pro-US elements who pervert the historical facts.
