Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and the south Korean authorities persist in grave military provocative moves against the DPRK behind the curtain of dialogue and peace.
The commander of the U.S. Marines disclosed in a seminar on October 3 that the U.S.-south Korea marine corps' joint drill has been waged non-stop, adding that it would be staged this autumn, too.
This clearly shows once again that the U.S. and south Korean authorities remain unchanged in their aggressive purpose to stifle the DPRK by force and "peace" and "improvement of relations" touted by them are nothing but a screen to cover up their sinister purpose.
The marine corps' joint drill which has been continuously staged by the U.S. and south Korean authorities is the very aggressive exercise to invade the north as it is one for the U.S. 3rd Marine Expeditionary Unit present in Japan and the south Korean Marine Corps to verse in precision strike at and sudden occupation of the strategic interior and important stronghold of the DPRK under the fire support of stealth fighters, attack helicopters and various kinds of artillery pieces.
No matter what the scale and form of the joint military exercise against the north may be, it is the most intensive revelation of the hostile acts toward the DPRK and a grave threat to peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the region.
Despite the repeated warnings of the DPRK and denunciation at home and abroad the U.S. and south Korean authorities have steadily staged joint military exercises after abandoning common agreements committed before the world and the nation.
They are openly talking about the plan for aggressive war exercise at such an acute time as now when the DPRK-U.S. dialogue is at a stalemate. It is none other than a severe political and military provocation turning the present situation into the acute one in the era of confrontation and an outright challenge to the aspiration and demand of the world for peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
How can the dialogue and peace be discussed amid the ongoing dangerous planning for aggressive war exercise which aims at the other side?
The U.S. and south Korean authorities often try to deceive the world, saying that their joint military exercise is "defensive one" and an "essential element" for combat preparations, but the world people clearly witness the blade of sword for aggression behind an olive branch.
The DPRK has already warned several times that their anti-DPRK rackets such as joint military exercises will make the DPRK reconsider its important measures.
The DPRK will never remain an onlooker to all acts of watching for a chance to invade the DPRK while making a mockery of its will to value peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and solve the issue through dialogue.
The U.S. and south Korean authorities should ponder on catastrophic aftermath to be entailed by their military hostile acts against the trend of the times and behave with discretion. -0-
