From Europe Dept of the Korean Committee For Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries-77th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL

The entire Korean people and world progressive people again reflect upon the immortal exploits made by leader Kim Jong Il, internationally recognized great master of independent politics, for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence with the approach of February coincided with the 77^th anniversary of his birth.

He was born as a Shining Star at the Paektusan secret camp, a seat of HQs of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, during the anti-Japanese revolutionary war led by President Kim Il Sung and grew amidst the fierce anti-Japanese war with the expectation and blessing of all for his rare intelligence and qualities.

In 1960s he was admitted to the Kim Il Sung University with a great ambition to succeed the cause of President Kim Il Sung and lead Korea to a brilliant future.

He started to work in June 1964 in the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) and assisted actively the work of President Kim Il Sung with his enthusiasm and talents. Under his leadership the WPK turned to an ever-victorious invincible party, the Korean People’s Army to an unrivalled army and Korea to a formidable socialist fortress in which a unique people-centred socialist system is deeply rooted and all the sectors, political economic and cultural, are at its best.

He systematized, developed and enriched the Juche idea created by President   Kim Il Sung to make it a guiding idea of the era of independence. It is the greatest of his exploits.

His pre-eminent political and leadership ability was more fully demonstrated towards the end of the 20^th century when the East-West cold war was compacted to the Korea-US facedown. He not merely safeguarded the socialist system in one country from the worst crisis and ordeal descended upon Korea, but also led the world socialism from the collapse and frustration to a new upsurge. He put the military affairs to the topmost state affairs and the military force to the supreme state power and continued his Songun leadership. In those days Korea was known in the international community as a military power any formidable enemy cannot dare to access.

He organized and enlisted the inexhaustible wisdom and talents of the Korean people to the creation and innovation for the building of a socialist powerful nation.

The credit entirely goes to leader Kim Jong Il that Korea which the US-led Western community orchestrated would be “collapsed” emerged as one of a few satellite-manufacturing and launching state, nuclear state and socialist stronghold breaking down the imperialists’ persistent pressure, military menace and machinations of sanctions and blockade.

Since they are led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, an image of Generalissimo     Kim Jong Il, the Korean people will certainly build a socialist power and continue to make marvellous events in the development of the Korea’s reunification cause and the cause of safeguarding world peace.
