Capitalist Society Has No Future: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun says in an article on Tuesday that the imperialists and their mouthpieces advertise "economic prosperity", "democracy" and "civilization" of the West, making a case for real prosperity and progress under capitalism.
Capitalism seems to be prosperous outwardly, but is being rotten due to its daily-worsening intrinsic contradictions, says the article, and goes on:
In capitalist countries, "economic prosperity" does not rid people of worries about material life but the reverse is the truth.
"Democracy" in the capitalist society is an anti-popular dictatorial politics for the rich and a tiny handful of the privileged circle.
Politicians of capitalist countries describe the West's multi-party system and parliamentary system as the most advanced and ideal democratic political mode. However, actual power over politics is seized by giga-monopolists.
There can be no genuine democratic politics in the capitalist society where the giga-monopolists and their servants dominate everything.
Lamentable is the civilization hyped by the West.
The civilization of the West fails to bring up people to be independent human being, but makes them slaves of money.
The capitalist society is mainly characterized by deformed material life, poor mental and cultural life and reactionary political life indicative of its anti-popular nature and corruption.
The capitalist society is, indeed, the decadent and ailing one without future which is on the verge of ruin. -0-
