The Korean nation is recollecting the undying achievements performed by Leader Kim Jong Il for Korea’s reunification with the approach of 7th anniversary of his demise. He, who had led the drive to carry out President Kim Il Sung’s last instructions for national reunification, made great efforts to hand down a reunified country to the Korean nation.  He laid a solid foundation for independent reunification and national prosperity and opened up a new era of independent reunification in the face of challenge and obstructive moves of the anti-reunification forces within and without by arousing the Korean nation to implement the President’s behests for the national reunification. He arranged the two rounds of historic inter-Korean summit that led the publication of the June 15 Joint Declaration and the October 4 Declaration. For that reason, the Korean nation is feeling their deep yearning for him ahead of the anniversary of his demise. Members of pro-reunification organizations and broad segments of people highly extol: “Leader Kim Jong Il is the peerless great person who worked heart and soul forrealization of the country’s reunification, keeping the nation’s desire for reunification in his heart. It was attributable to his wise leadership that the atmosphere of reunification was created in the past days and a new enthusiasm for independent reunification is brisk on the Korean Peninsula. His exploits performed for the country’s reunification will last forever along with the history of national reunification.”  “It is still vivid in our mind when he made the June 15 era. At that time, the south Koreans, looking up to his bright countenance, felt sure that he is the great man who will reunify the country and inaugurate a new era of national prosperity. We visualize a reunified nation through his image and harden our resolve to follow him only,” they added. Witnessing a stirring reality of a new phase of inter-Korean relations and sign of trend of reunification and peace on the Korean Peninsula thanks to bold step taken by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the south Korean people are confident about that the last instructions given by Leader Kim Jong Il for national reunification would be realized before long by the Supreme Leader. The Korean nation, with great pride and self-confidence of holding peerless great men in high esteem through generations, will surely build a peaceful, thriving and reunified country true to leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, a peerless patriot and lodestar of reunification.
