The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a statement in support of the commentary of the researcher of the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the DPRK Foreign Ministry titled "Who Is to Blame for Escalation of Tensions on Korean Peninsula"
Recently the US imperialists and south Korea staged the "Max Thunder " war exercises against the DPRK from the 11th of May to the 25th of May . This exercise even involved US B52 bomber aircraft and the original plan was to also involve Japanese armed forces .
Holding the exercise was a most blatant breach of the April 27th Panmunjom Declaration which stipulates that no hostile actions including military exercises should be carried out. Basically the holding of military exercises by the US and south Korea is seriously undermining the mood of peace and inter-Korean reconciliation .
As the commentary written by the researcher states " All facts clearly prove once again that the joint military exercises which the U.S. holds in the Korean peninsula are the root cause of the escalation of tension in the region and that they have something to do with the U.S. Asia domination strategy."
   This is indeed true .
If the US and south Korea want peace then they must halt all military exercises against the DPRK .Any planned military exercises should be cancelled at once ! The US must stop interfering in Korea and withdraw its troops as soon as possible.
