Kim Jong Un Orders to Promote Military Ranks of KPA Commanding Officers
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un ordered to promote the military ranks of commanding officers of the Korean People's Army on Tuesday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.
According to the order, An Myong Gon was promoted to army lieutenant general, Kim Yong Son to rear admiral, Kim Myong Bok, Jon Hyok Ju, Son Jong Rok and Ri Jong Muk to major general of the strategic force and Kim Tong Gil, Kim Chol Ung and 20 others to army major general.
The respected Supreme Commander expressed the conviction that the commanding officers of the KPA would get united in the same thought and purpose around the Party Central Committee and discharge the sacred mission and duty entrusted to them by the times and the revolution in the struggle to accelerate the final victory in the stand-off with imperialism and the U.S. and in the cause of the Juche revolution by fluttering the invincible flag of the Workers' Party of Korea as the first colors.
