The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the New Year Address for 2018 that was made by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, the supreme leader of the DPRK and Korean people , on the 1st of January ;
The New Year Address of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN for 2018 is most impressive .It covers a range of issues and sets out tasks for the coming year which will see significant anniversaries namely the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the proud homeland of Juche , and the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the regular revolutionary armed force the Korean People's Army.
In the address respected Marshal KIM JONG UN reviews the past year 2017 which saw great victories for the DPRK but at the same titanic attempts by the US imperialists and their vassals to stifle and crush Juche-orientated socialism .
The DPRK in 2017 succeeded in its goal of becoming a nuclear and ICBM power . As Marshal
KIM JONG UN states " In no way would the United States dare to ignite a war against me and our country.
The whole of its mainland is within the range of our nuclear strike and the nuclear button is on my office desk all the time; the United States needs to be clearly aware that this is not merely a threat but a reality."
It is the first time in history that the leader of the Korean nation could say that the US cannot wage war against them and that the 'nuclear button' is always ready . In the past Korea was a country that could not even produce matchlock rifles and was invaded by other countries, in particular Japan which colonized Korea. Now that can never happen again ! This is a very great achievement that cannot be bartered for anything. We salute this great victory !
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN also pays tribute to the heroic working people of Korea who built socialism in the spirit of self-reliance smashing the evil sanctions of the US imperialists and other imperialist , reactionaries and toadies.
Putting forward tasks for the coming year 2018 dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN unveils the slogan " "Let us launch a revolutionary general offensive to achieve fresh victory on all fronts of building a powerful socialist country!"" This is a great slogan that will powerfully inspire the socialist working people of People's Korea to achieve fresh miracles and conquer new heights of socialist construction.
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN correctly states that " The central task facing socialist economic construction this year is to enhance the independence and Juche character of the national economy and improve the people's standard of living as required by the revolutionary counterstrategy put forward by the Second Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Party."
This basically identifies the central task and sets down the right orientation for work for the coming
year. Increasing the independence of the national economy and its Juche character is absolutely
essential to overcome the sanctions as well as rejecting attempts to restore capitalism through the infiltration of imperialism . This is highly laudable.
Pointing out that is the 70th anniversary of the formation of the regular revolutionary armed force
Marshal KIM JONG UN says that the Army should be further perfected. Moreover he says that
" The nuclear weapons research sector and the rocket industry should mass-produce nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles, the power and reliability of which have already been proved to the full, to give a spur to the efforts for deploying them for action.
And we should always be ready for immediate nuclear counterattack to cope with the enemy's manoeuvres for a nuclear war."
So basically rejecting unprincipled bourgeois pacifism and calling for the strenthening of the revolutionary armed forces . We support this policy as it is vital to further augment the defence power of People's Korea.
In the field of culture and ideology respected Marshal KIM JONG UN says that "A vigorous struggle should be waged to tighten moral discipline throughout society, establish a socialist way of life and eliminate all kinds of non-socialist practices, so as to ensure that all the people, possessed of ennobling mental and moral traits, lead a revolutionary and cultured life"
Thus the DPRK will reject the wind of bougeois ideology and culture that the imperialists are insidiously trying blow into the People's Korea .
Turning his attention to the issue of inter-Korean relations and and reunification Marshal KIM JONG UN said that Inter-Korean relations should be unfrozen and put forward significant proposals such as easing military tensions and the DPRK's participation in the Winter Olympics .
Marshal KIM JONG UN said that "To improve inter-Korean relations as soon as possible, the authorities of the north and the south should raise the banner of national independence higher than ever before, and fulfil their responsibility and role they have assumed for the times and the
nation."
This is the only way forward to improvement of inter-Korean relations and reunification ! The south Korean authorities must stop visiting other countries to solicit the help of outsiders in the Korean reunification question.
We strongly support the call of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN for the discontinuation of
nuclear war exercises by south Korea .
We also support the call of dear respected Marhsal KIM JONG UN for a just and peaceful world .
We believe that the New Year Address of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN should be widely disseminated and studied . We will step up our efforts to make a deep study of it and publicise it .
