"Freedom" of Thinking Touted by Imperialists Is Hypocritical: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- "Freedom" of thinking touted by the imperialists in capitalist society is a false propaganda aimed to oppose the progressive thoughts and spread bourgeois ideology and a deceptive slogan to justify the ideological and cultural poisoning of other countries, Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in an article.
The article goes on:
When countries allow "freedom" of thinking, touted by the imperialists, failing to see through its essence, they will face grave consequences.
It was eloquently proved by the tragic reality of the countries where socialism collapsed. Those countries neglected the ideological work, not maintaining a vigilant watch on "freedom" of thinking vociferated by the imperialists. Taking advantage of this opportunity, bourgeois ideology was spread throughout the society and reactionary propaganda and blue and corrupt films and music were introduced into those countries en masse.
Obsessed with bourgeois ideology, they praised it and longed for capitalism, asserting that "free world" was the best. Finally, socialist system collapsed in those countries.
Weakening in ideological education will bring trend of liberalization now that the imperialists are making desperate efforts to spread the reactionary bourgeois ideology.
Those countries and peoples desirous of independent development and social progress should clearly see through the hypocritical and reactionary nature of "freedom" of thinking and actively struggle against it. -0
