ASSPUK and JISGE on the 25th anniversary of the publication of the work "Socialism Is the Life of Our People"

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) and the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) today issued the following statement on the 25th anniversary of the publication of the work "Socialism Is the Life of Our People " by the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL  :
 Totday it is 25 years since the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL published his excellent and highly perceptive work "Socialism Is the Life of Our People " which fully expounds and details the superiority of Juche-orientated socialism  which has become the life of the Korean people . Although socialism had been frustrated in a number of countries comrade KIM JONG IL reiterated his faith in the victory of socialism pointing that ultimately the imperialists and reactionaries will be defeated  and the revolutionary peoples will truimph.
  As comrade KIM JONG IL points out in the work " Socialism is the life of our people. Whether our people remain alive or die, i.e., whether they lead an independent and creative life as masters of the state and society or become the slave of others, getting maltreatment and contempt, depends on whether they defend socialism or not. As the song goes, socialism defended means victory and socialism abandoned means death. Whatever the difficulties and trials, we must never abandon the socialism we chose and are building by our efforts."
  This is a very basic truth ,socialism means life . Juche-orientated socialism is the cradle of life for the Korean people.
 Defending socialism and advancing means more thoroughly applying the Juche idea . Socialism must have a firm ideological foundation and the Juche Idea is the ideological foundation of Korean socialism . As the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL explains  
"Our socialism is advancing victoriously unperturbed amidst the continuing vicious moves of the imperialists and reactionaries just because it is based on the Juche idea and guided by this idea. While socialism is the life of our people, the Juche idea is the life of our socialism.

We must staunchly defend the Juche idea from the infiltration of the bourgeois reactionary ideological trend of all hues, steadily develop it and apply it in a thoroughgoing way in all fields of revolution and construction.

The course of building socialism is the course of applying the Juche idea and socialist and communist societies are those modelled on that idea.

Throughout his life the great leade comrade KIM IL SUNG firmly maintained the Juche -orientated stand. 

Comrade KIM JONG IL in the work scathingly denounces those countries that restored 

capitalism pointing out that they are not democratic  "What are the bourgeois restorationists themselves doing now, those who are abusing socialism? They have disbanded communist parties and force everything on the lower echelons by invoking presidential decree"

 This is indeed very true .

This work is a very valuable work that is full of sharp and clear judgements , it is a work that is a weapon in the struggle for socialism . We highly commend it to the reader.
