The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) , and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the statement of Religious Believers Council of Korea issued on the 26th of Saturday August ;
We support the statement of Religious Believers Council of Korea which rejects and denounces the
"2016 International Religious Freedom Report" produced by the US imperialists.
This report issued by the US is false and deeply inaccurate. In fact religious freedom is guaranteed in the DPRK both by law , in the Socialist Consitutution of the DPRK , and also in practice. If you visit the DPRK you can find a Catholic church , a Protestant Church and an Orthodox church not to mention Buddhist temples and places of Chondoist(Korean religion) worship . Religious believers in the DPRK also have their own organisations such as the Korean Christians Federation. It is nonsense to assert that religion is suppressed in the DPRK!
As Religious Believers Council of Korea rightly states " It recalled that during the past Korean war the US savagely bombed and destroyed a lot of religious establishments such as more than 1 900 churches, cathedrals and Buddhist temples and mercilessly killed hundreds of thousands of innocent religious believers"
The US has committed barbaric actions against religious believers in many countries and Trump has even tried to block Islam believers from entering the US
The so-called "2016 International Religious Freedom Report" of the US is a fabricated document which is intended to smear and besmirch the socialist sytem of the DPRK and to demonise the DPRK in the eyes of religious believers !
A strong campaign must be waged to counter malicious anti-DPRK propaganda !
