The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA )  , and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP)issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the publication of the work " "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification" by the great leader comrade
KIM JONG IL on the 4th of August 1997:
  This work authored by the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL is a very powerful work that sets down Juche-orientated principles for realising national reunification , according to the idea's of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG. 
    As comrade KIM JONG IL points  the great leader President KIM IL SUNG had worked very hard during his life , in fact day and night , for Korean reunification and it was his desire to bequeath a reunified country . It is now a heavy moral duty to carry out to the last and in every detail the instructions of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG for national reunification.
  In order to realise the instructions of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG , Korea must be reunified on the basis of independence. Comrade KIM JONG IL stresses that in the struggle for national reunification , the Juche character must be maintained . For reunification to take place US troops must be withdrawn from the south of Korea.
   Comrade KIM JONG IL draws attention to the fascist 'National Security Law ' in south Korea which is an institutional and legal barrier to national reunification as it defines the DPRK as an enemy and an 'anti-state' entity .
   All in all , the work is an encyclopedic programme for national reunification that gives overall answers to all problems arising in realizing Korea's reunification, and it has displayed its great vitality in developing the movement for national reunification into a nationwide movement for 20 years.
 Guided by the Juche Idea the struggle for independent , national, reunification , will be victorious.
