Stop war exercise against People's Korea!

The US and south Korean bellicose group kicked off joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle against the DPRK from March 1 to the end of April despite the denunciation of the Korean and world peace-loving people desirous of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

To be involved in this muscle-flexing are ten thousand US troops and thirty thousand south Korean army, nuclear-powered carrier Carl Vinson, strategic bombers on Guam and stealth fighter jets in Japan.

Timed to coincide with the joint drills, the land forces, navy, marine corps and air force of the south Korean army start to launch various kind of military exercises.

On March 1, thirty-eight groups including the Solidarity for Peace and Unification and the Solidarity for Progress called a press conference near the US embassy in Seoul to sharply condemn the ongoing war games.

The military tension on the Korean Peninsula has been extremely dangerous by strong backlash of the DPRK which regards the US-south Korea joint military exercises as a constant threat to the DPRK, they said and urged the US and south Korean authorities to stop the war games.

The south Korean military has launched unprecedented large-scale war rehearsals against the DPRK to divert their wretched plight caused by impeachment of Park Geun-hye, however, it can never escape the miserable end already sealed.

The south Korean authorities, frightened by the successful test-fire of the surface-to-surface medium long-range ballistic missile Pukguksong-2, should behave with prudence and self-control, well aware of their confrontational policy and war games against the DPRK would help self-destruction.
