Conquering Outer Space Is Path of Revolution, Independence: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The DPRK's development of outer space is accompanied by struggle due to the U.S. and other hostile forces who slap sanctions against the DPRK, taking issue with its satellite launch only, says Rodong Sinmun on Friday in an article.
The DPRK's project for conquering outer space is the road of the revolution.
The DPRK's project for space development started amid the hostile forces' military pressure and economic blockade.
When the DPRK successfully launched its earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 last year, the U.S. and its vassal forces fabricated "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK at the UN Security Council as they did in the past.
Not a few countries expressed concern that the DPRK would face adverse consequences if it did not comply with the U.S. demand for halting the satellite launch and some countries were displeased with the launch.
No matter how persistently the hostile forces may deny the DPRK's status as a satellite manufacturer and launcher, its status can never change and it can never abandon its project because of anyone's opposition.
Neither threat nor pressure could shake the DPRK's will and resolution.
The DPRK's road of conquering outer space was by no means a smooth sailing but it has steadfastly covered the road.
The DPRK's conquering outer space is also the road of independence.
It has developed outer space, staking the dignity and self-esteem of the nation on it as this is the path chosen by the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people.
With no frenzy can the U.S. and its vassal forces ever block the DPRK from conquering outer space. -0
