Let Us Expedite the Global Independence in Unity under the Banner of Anti-Imperialism and Independence

It is of a particularly important significance that the International Seminar of the Juche Idea on Anti-imperialism, Independence and Solidarity has been held in Pyongyang, capital of the DPRK, the land of Juche and Songun in the period when the people’s desire for independence is increasing as days go by.

Respected His Excellency Kim Jong Un was elected the chairman of the WPK and clarified ideology and theory for the consummation of the revolutionary cause of Juche and the realization of the cause of global independence, at the 7^th congress of the WPK. This is an important event that vigorously encourages the study and dissemination of the Juche idea on a worldwide arena.

We, the Juche idea followers, are holding this seminar in Pyongyang amidst the ever-increasing anti-DPRK isolation and suffocation moves of the US and the hostile forces that are terrified by the fact that the unprecedented changes occur in all sectors of the DPRK and her international prestige is ever-mounting day by day, under wise leadership of respected H. E. Kim Jong Un. This is a token of solidarity with the Korean people and demonstration of the invariable conviction and will of the progressive peoples to realize global independence in cohesion under the banner of anti-imperialism and independence.

On behalf of the preparatory committee of the seminar, I warmly welcome the delegations and delegates from many countries of the world who share this opportunity, with the common aspiration and desire.

I also extend my warm militant greetings to the government of the DPRK and the Korean people who are advancing dynamically along the road of independence, Songun and socialism.

Believing that this seminar will be recorded as anther meaningful event in the cause of the popular masses for independence, I’d like to present a report under the title “Anti-imperialism, Independence and Solidarity”

Conducting more dynamically the struggle for anti-imperialism and independence at present is raised as the urgent demand to frustrate the imperialist moves of aggression and war, safeguard peace and security of the world and bring about progress and prosperity.

The international arena is now beset with serious confrontation and battles between the world’s progressive peoples who have joined the struggle to defend the sovereignty and dignity of their countries and nations, and the imperialist reactionary forces that are pursuing policies of aggression and war by acting high-handedly and arbitrarily.

Facing their imminent downfall, the imperialist reactionary forces are making desperate attempts to maintain the status quo at all costs.

Owing to the aggressive and interventionist moves by the imperialist and dominationist forces including the United States, sovereignty of many countries and nations are violated and successive wars and conflicts broke out in several countries.

The US imperialists are introducing aggressive armed forces and mass destruction weapons and causing tension in the Korean peninsula and every part of the world, thus pushing the world into a new arms race.

Peace and stability are not ensured in today’s world, but the people’s survival and development threatened seriously due to imperialism and dominationism that bring the world situation to the extreme and attempt to realize their political and economic interest with the logic of power.

Dynamic struggle for anti-imperialism and independence is an important requirement to achieve free development and prosperity of countries against the imperialist aggression and intervention made under the signboards of “democracy,” “anti-terrorism,” “human rights” protection and “globalization”.

Democracy that is much vaunted by the United States is reactionary, in that it legitimizes the actions of minority of powerful and rich people in exploiting and oppressing the absolute majority of the people; it is an aggression-oriented democracy that allows a single superpower to suppress and control other countries at will. The “war on terror” waged by the United States is nothing but state terrorism targeting those nations that are opposed to it, and a new variant of its moves for aggression and war.

On the pretext of protecting “human rights” and ‘globalization” the imperialists are trampling on the sovereign rights of other countries and nations, while acting outrageously to intervene in their internal affairs.

All these facts show that all countries and nations can expedite the cause of independence only when they see correctly the dangerous character of dominationist moves by the imperialists and intensify the struggle against them.

Dynamic struggle for anti-imperialism and independence is essential to remove the old international order of domination and subjugation and realize the true international justice.

In the international arena at present, the globally recognized fundamental principles of international relations are being blatantly violated by the US-led imperialist forces in their outrageous schemes for domination and intervention; even justifiable acts are being demonized as injustice to serve the interests of the imperialist powers.

The people’s aspiration and desire for independence and peace is faced with grave challenge due to the imperialist domination and intervention, aggression and war.

That is why the world progressives raise their voice demanding all countries and nations to frustrate the imperialist reactionary forces’ high-handed, arbitrary and aggressive moves and the behavious of violating sovereignty, safeguard sovereign rights and rise up in the struggle for global independence in firm unity.

At present, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the guideline for the struggle for global independence against imperialism.

His Excellency respected Kim Jong Un said.

“The cause of independence of the people, the socialist cause, can successfully be accomplished only by modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and guided by this great ideology.”

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism formulated by His Excellency Kim Jong Un in combination with the revolutionary ideology of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il is an integral whole of the Juche idea and the theory and method on the revolution and construction clarified by the Juche idea.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the guiding ideology of our era that gives perfect explanation to all theoretical and practical problems in defending and realizing independence.

The Juche idea, the quintessence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, regards as the first target of struggle the imperialism that infringes upon independence of the people and deprives the countries and nations of sovereignty and demands to fight against it staunchly to the end. The Juche idea teaches the scientific strategy and tactics for the cause of anti-imperialism and independence including the problem of directing main effort to the anti-US struggle and the problem of strengthening the unity among the anti-imperialist and independent forces.

Thanks to the Songun idea, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism becomes a powerful weapon of the revolutionary struggle which guarantees firmly the victorious advance and completion of the anti-imperialist independent cause.

As it is to give importance and precedence to military affair in implementing the popular masses’ cause of independence, the cause of socialism and regard the revolutionary army as the hardcore forces to push ahead with the overall revolution and construction, the Songun idea gives scientific and practical explanation to the key problems for the victory in the revolution.

Truth underlined its significance in practice.

Greatness, validity and invincible vitality of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism have been proved clearly through practice of the anti-imperialist struggle.

By regarding Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guiding ideology and advancing dynamically along the road indicated by it, the Korean people could defend sovereignty of the country by defeating two strong imperialisms and press ahead with the socialist construction by carrying out two stages of social revolution successfully, thus building a socialist power independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliance in defence.

They also won victory in the decisive confrontation with imperialism, equivalent with one occasion of world war, safeguarded the country reliably and made a turning point in the struggle for the building of a socialist power and the national reunification, in the last decade of the last century.

They are now frustrating every suffocation move of imperialists against the DPRK and making a great leap and big innovation of aiming high and skipping from one decade to another, demonstrating the dignity of the country.

These successes which the world people call the miracle of history are the brilliant fruition born by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

Great ideology is a wealth common to humankind.

It is inevitability of history that the great ideology, which reflects correctly the common aspiration and requirement of the world people and whose validity and vitality have been proved fully through revolutionary practice, becomes a trend of the era arousing absolute sympathy among the progressive people.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is spreading broadly and rapidly, that is unprecedented in the history of human thought, as a powerful weapon for the change of the world.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is rousing a great impression among the world progressives who love justice and truth and want to advance along the road of independence, and learning and applying it becomes the trend of the era that can be checked by nothing.

The progressive people of the world are now finding their path in Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and conducting strenuous struggle for independence, sovereignty and the building of a new society with it as the banner.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is, indeed, the immortal banner that leads to a brilliant victory the people’s cause of independence putting an end to all sorts of domination and subjugation and realizing independence of all countries, nations and the popular masses, on a worldwide scale.

It is a common aspiration of humankind and the historic task of the era to realize global independence in unity and solidarity under the banner of anti-imperialism and independence.

Independent world is the world which is free from domination and subjugation, aggression and intervention and where sovereignty and equality of all countries and nations are provided.

In order to building a just new world in which development and prosperity are ensured in the countries and nations and peace and stability in the world, it is necessary for the progressive people to struggle in firm unity upholding the banner of anti-imperialism and independence.

The most important in realizing global independence is for all countries and nations to struggle more dynamically against imperialism.

The main in the struggle against imperialism is to check and frustrate war and aggressive moves of the US and its vassal forces and defend peace and security of the world.

The US imperialism is disturber and destroyer of the world peace and security and the main target of the cause of global independence. The peace-loving people of the world should not allow the imperialist moves of aggression and war against the sovereign states but actively struggle to prevent danger of war and safeguard the world peace and security. It is also necessary for them to build a new peaceful world with the struggle to remove aggressive military bases which cause military confrontation and war.

All countries and nations aspiring for independence should sharpen vigilance against the imperialists’ crafty schemes committed under the guise of the protection of “human rights” and “globalization.” They should also preserve their Juche character and national identity; they should harbour neither expectations of nor illusions about the imperialists’ deceptive “aid.”

They should strip away the shameless veil of “justice” worn by the forces of imperialism and domination and eliminate the old international order whereby injustice prevails under the cloak of “justice.” Instead, they should establish a new fair and just international order.

It is important to strengthen unity and solidarity in order to oppose imperialism and build a new independent world.

Unity and solidarity is a decisive guarantee for victory in the struggle for anti-imperialism and independence. The more countries and nations are united firmly behind the anti-US, anti-imperialist front, the more they will hasten the ruin of imperialists.

All countries and peoples aspiring for independence should unite under the banner of anti-imperialism and independence irrespective of differences in political view and religious belief. They should support one another and strengthen their solidarity and cooperation in the struggle against imperialism, the common enemy.

They should frustrate the moves of imperialists who are causing and aggravating distrust and discord between the countries and nations that aspire to independence and meddling in regional disputes in a bid to complicate matters further. They should prepare favourable conditions for the cause of global independence.

Activities to study, disseminate and apply Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism are of key significance in the struggle for anti-imperialism, independence and solidarity.

The Juche idea study organizations should further activate the study and dissemination of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, that has encouraged the broad sectors of the masses including the distinguished figures in political and public circles and the prestigious scholars in their efforts for the cause of independence with its unprecedented attraction, and at the same time, increase the number of its followers steadily.

In particular, they should pay attention to making profound study of the ideas, theories and lines set forth by His Excellency respected Kim Jong Un at the 7^th congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea and to analyzing the reality of their countries and regions.

The study and dissemination of the Juche idea should be oriented to solving the problems in realizing the independent national development and the global independence and conducted by all means in conformity with detailed historical conditions and characteristics, and cultural traditions of each country and each region.

The study and dissemination of the Juche idea should be continued through generations and conducted in a fresh and positive manner with various forms and methods.

The Juche idea study organizations and followers should study hard the theory of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and conduct proactively the work of introducing and disseminating widely the precious successes and experiences achieved by the DPRK, the champion of independence and justice, in the struggle against imperialism.
