U.S. Termed Provoker of New War: KCNA

Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency released a detailed report Thursday as regards the situation on the Korean Peninsula in 2015.
According to the report, the DPRK, at the beginning of the year, mapped out a grand plan for building a thriving nation, made a series of constructive proposals to defuse tension and create a peaceful environment on the peninsula and did every effort to realize them.
But those proposals faced only frosty response from the U.S. administration which has pursued the most ferocious hostile policy toward the DPRK in history, the report said, and went on:
On January 22, U.S. President Obama, spouting rubbish hurting the DPRK, openly cried out for bringing it down as early as possible.
The Obama Administration set this year as a war year and set August when Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drills began as the month when a war will start, and masterminded an unheard-of racket to stifle the DPRK.
It employed all means and methods to round off legal and institutional mechanism to stifle the DPRK, as evidenced by the "presidential executive order" on January 2 that declared "additional sanctions" upon the latter.
The degree of ideological and cultural poisoning and psychological warfare against the DPRK reached an extreme pitch with an aim to destabilize and topple it.
The U.S. made its clear appearance as the one trying to ignite a new Korean war when it tightened its control over and intervention in the politics and military and diplomatic affairs of south Korea.
Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills staged from March 2 to April 24 were the prelude to a war, which resulted in the August crisis.
For these war rehearsals, the U.S. organized even the staff of the U.S.-south Korea joint division and detailed the military operation and plans and reinforced the system and machineries of its forces to execute a war.
Its war moves reached the fiercest phase during Ulji Freedom Guardian war rehearsal that brought the August crisis.
OPLAN 5015 finally agreed upon with the south Korean regime in June was applied to the war rehearsal.
The U.S., after creating all conditions and environment for provoking a war in August, let the south Korean regime orchestrate conspiratorial events like "mine explosion" and "north's shelling" and under that pretext fire dozens of shells at the territory of the DPRK in a bid to push the situation to the brink of a war.
This was just like what it did during the 1950s when it instigated the Syngman-Rhee clique of south Korea to igniting the June 25 war.
To cope with the prevailing situation, the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea convened an emergency enlarged meeting on August 20 and issued an order to put the frontline area of the country on a semi-war state.
In response to the appeal made by the party and the government of the DPRK to avert a war and protect peace, all the service personnel and people determinedly stood up against the war moves of the U.S. and the south Korean authorities.
The U.S. plot for a new war was disrupted by the toughest backlash by the service personnel and people of the DPRK.
Thanks to the positive efforts made by the DPRK, a joint press release was published at the north-south high-level emergency contact held in Panmunjom from August 22 to 24. The situation seemed to have made a U-turn, from crisis of war to dialogue for peace and stability.
However, it again got worse due to the hideous hostile moves of the U.S.
The U.S. brought the Ronald Reagan nuclear carrier task force targeting the DPRK to the vicinity of the peninsula for war racket for invading the north during the reunion of the separated families and relatives from the north and the south in October, chilling the atmosphere of the reunion and again revealing its scenario for igniting a war.
Witnessing the worst situation on the Korean Peninsula in 2015, the service personnel and people of the DPRK realized once again that the U.S. is, indeed, the arch criminal harassing peace and that they should stand up against it with only strong arms of Songun and war deterrent for self-defence.
They became more convinced that it is the only way for achieving durable peace to conclude a peace treaty with the U.S. or to set out on a final great war of justice against it.
If Washington fails to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK, persistently dreaming a daydream about "collapse of north Korea", it will only invite latter's backlash going beyond its imagination. -0-
