The Juche Idea Study Group of England
supported by the UK Korean Friendship Association and the Association
For the Study of Songun Politics UK held a successful meeting on the
12th of December in central London .The meeting
commemorated the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL and recalled his great
life and made reference to the 98th birth anniversary of Madame KIM JONG SUK and the 4th anniversary of the appointment of dear respected
comrade KIM JONG UN as supreme commander of the Korean People's
Army.The 60th anniversary of the publication of the "On Eliminating
Dogmatism and Formalism and Establishing Juche In Ideological work
".The meeting was attended by JISGE members , members of UK KFA ,
members of the New Communist Party including Andy Brooks its general
secretary , a member of the CPGBML and a friend from the Sweden Korea
Friendship Association. The meeting was honoured by the presence of a
representative of the DPRK Embassy in London.
The meeting began with a 2 minute silence for the great leader comrade
KIM JONG IL. Dermot Hudson chairman of the JISGE and KFA Official Delegate UK said (excerpt)
" the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL delivered a decisive rebuff to
those forces who wanted the DPRK to "reform" and "open up " by saying "
Expect No Change from Me "...The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il
defended and developed the purity of the Juche Idea . He systematised
and enriched the Juche idea in his historic 1982 thesis "On the Juche
Idea ". This work constitutes an almanac of the Juche idea which
clarified its philosophical essence and that man has independence,
consciousness and creativity. Thus the Juche idea shines out a
philosophy for achieving the independence of the popular masses . The
Juche idea is a powerful weapon for achieving human emancipation from
all kinds of misery and oppression.
When socialism was frustrated in
some countries owing to the treachery of modern revisionism the great
leader comrade Kim Jong Il energetically defended socialism and wrote
brilliant works such as "Our Socialism Centred on the Popular Masses
Shall Not Perish , "Abuses of Socialism are Intolerable" "Socialism Is A
Science and " Giving Priority to Ideological work is essential for
accomplishing socialism" which inspired hope amongst the people of the
world who aspire to socialism.
The great leader comrade Kim
Jong Il developed in depth the Songun idea an embodiment of the Juche
Idea and treasured sword for defending socialist Korea . The Songun Idea
and Songun politics are the cutting edge of the anti-imperialist class
struggle in this era. The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il fully put
Songun politics into practice as supreme commander of the Korean
People's Army comrade Kim Jong Il led the work of defence up-building
and continued the cause of Juche-army building pioneered by the great
leader President Kim Il Sung. Stressing the importance of the
anti-imperialist military front led the DPRK to victory in the DPRK-US
confrontation smiting the reactionary US imperialists by carrying out 2
nuclear tests so that the DPRK became a global nuclear power , a proud
independent socialist nuclear power of Juche.
The great leader
comrade Kim Jong Il led the struggle to build up the independent
national economy . He made sure that the living standards of the Korean
people were improved . Under his leadership the many social benefits
enjoyed by the Korean people were preserved and further enhanced. He
passed away whilst a trip of on the spot guidance, thus he was working
for the people right up to the last minute. He always wore plain clothes
. He was the epitome of a true people's leader.
Kim Jong Il, the
lodestar of national reunification, led the Korean people along the road
of independence and great national unity with his resolute will to
implement the instructions of the great leader President Kim Il Sung for
national reunification. The June 15 declaration which embodied the
concept of "By Our Nation Itself", broke through the barrier of national
division imposed by the US imperialists.
The great leader comrade
Kim Jong Il led the cause of anti-imperialist independence throughout
the world. Songun politics was an inspiration to the peoples struggling
against imperialism and the Juche Idea a powerful compass for defeating
imperialism. The many works written by the great leader comrade Kim Jong
Il are a guiding compass for the fighting peoples of the world. The
DPRK became associated with the defence of the socialist principle ,
thus encouraging the world people in their struggle for socialism.#
Andy Brooks general secretary of the New Communist Party praised the
contribution that the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL made to the
socialist world. He said that KIM JONG IL's succession meant that the
security of the socialist system and its continuity .
A message from David Munoz KFA member was read out .It read in part "
When Comrade Kim Jong Il had the difficult task of being in front of
the Korean people and the hope of socialism in the bad years of arduous
march after the collapse of the socialist bloc Comrade Kim Jong Il said
to the West ``Do not expect changes from me´´.
United people with a strong ideology can not be defeated. Kim Jong Il believed in this."
Comrade Thae Yong Ho minister counsellor of the DPRK Embassy said that
the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL had rebuffed those revisionists in
the international communist movement who told the DPRK to "reform " .
He said US imperialism is still trying to stifle the DPRK by various
means including the human rights issue. The imperialists have invaded
many countries on the globe causing countless human tragedies . However
the DPRK has developed a strong nuclear deterrent force which protects
its sovereignty.
Dermot Hudson chair of JISGE said that the recent announcement by dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN of the development of the H bomb is a great advance to be applauded.
Referring to the 98th birth anniversary of Madame KIM JONG SUK chairman
Dermot Hudson said "Comrade Kim Jong Suk an indomitable communist
revolutionary fighter blazed a trail for the women's emancipation
movement in Asia and the world . Comrade Kim Jong Suk created a model
of Juche-orienated and proletarian feminism showing the correct way to
liberate women and she smashed all bourgeois, revisionist and
opportunist falsehoods on the women's liberation question. ASSPUK and
JISGE believe that comrade Kim Jong Suk serves as a role model for
anti-imperialist women revolutionaries throughout the world, her
teachings show the correct way forward for the women's movement even in
the imperialist countries. "
Chairman Dermot Hudson said dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN's appointment as supreme commander of the
Korean People's Army successfully carried forward the Songun
revolutionary cause.
On the subject of the 60th anniversary of
the publication of “On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and
Establishing Juche in Ideological Work” chairman Dermot Hudson said as
follows " probably one of the most important documents of the 20th
century. It was published at a time when modern revisionism appeared in
the international communist movement and was being spread (or actually
forced on others) through the medium of great-power chauvinism. It
inspired the people of the DPRK to blaze a new path blasting away
flunkeyism and dogmatism...
Today People’s Korea stands out as the
most independent country in the world was is not a copy of another
country and does not read the face of another country . This is the
result of the establishment of Juche."
The meeting heard from a
member of the Sweden Korea Association on a visit to London who spoke
about his visit to the DPRK in September for the anniversary of the
foundation of Air Koryo and mentioned the new airport at Wonsan.
There were calls for a picket of the BBC because of its anti- DPRK
propaganda and also of the south Korean puppet embassy because of the
detention of the leader of the south Korean trade unions.
A message to the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted
An exhibition of publications including the works of President KIM IL
SUNG ,chairman KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN was held.
