               London 3rd December Juche 104(2015)
The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement in support of  statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the 2nd of December;

We support the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry on the issue of discussing the conclusion of a DPRK-US Peace treaty because it is absurd for some people to raise the issue of the six party talks and so-called 'denuclearisation ' . It is impossible to talk about the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula without first addressing the question of the hostile anti-DPRK policy of the US and the issue of replacing the armistice agreement with a peace treaty.
Some people seem unaware that historically the nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula was created by the US and it was the hostile policy of the US that compelled the DPRK to have access to a nuclear deterrent . It impossible for denuclearisation to take place before the US ends its hostile policy towards the DPRK and ends the abnormal state of relations between the two countries by concluding a peace treaty which would replace the Armistice Agreement  which is now threadbare and worn out. It is meaningless to call for the resumption of the six party talks.
   To call for the" denuclearisation" of the DPRK before the conclusion of a peace treaty between the US and DPRK is basically to call for the unilateral disarmament of the DPRK . Such a thing can never be accepted. Moreover it is aimed , in essence, at stifling the DPRK.

Our organisations , the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA , take this opportunity to reiterate our basic stance that the US should conclude a peace treaty with the DPRK. This is the way forward to peace on the Korean peninsula.
