The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement calling for the abolition of the "National Security Law "(NSL) in south Korea;

 It is now 67 long years since the fascist regime in south Korea enacted the so-called "National Security Law" .The "National Security Law" is based on   "Maintenance of the Public Order Act" , a feudalistic and fascist law of the Japanese imperialists . It is shameful that even today in south Korea there exist the rotten residues of Japanese colonialism.

 South Korea is one of the few countries in the world where communist parties are completely illegal under the "National Security Law " and indeed all pro reunification , pro DPRK and leftist activities are illegal under the NSL. South Korea is just one big fascist prison house where progressive thought is punished by law .
South Korea is a society where the richer get ever richer and the poor get ever poorer. It is ruled by a corrupt elite whose first allegiance is to the United States . South Korea is occupied by US troops . The US robs the south Korean people of nearly $1 billion a year in "upkeep expenses"

There can be no independence or democracy in south Korea without the complete of the National Security Law. It is high time that the NSL was abolished.

Our organisations , the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA, call for the immediate and complete abolition of the National Security Law in south Korea.
