National Seminar on Kim Jong Il's Work Held

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- A national seminar on leader Kim Jong Il's work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism" was held at the Central Youth Hall on Thursday.
Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier, officials of party, administration and working people's organizations, those of science, education, literature and art, media, institutions for training party cadres and those in the field of the preservation of revolutionary relics.
The participants heard five papers that explained and proved the validity and vitality of the ideas and theories Kim Jong Il advanced in the work on June 19, Juche 84 (1995).
Ri Yong Sik, editor-in-chief of Rodong Sinmun, said the work was an immortal library which perfectly clarified the importance, basic mission and contents of the ideological work in accomplishing the socialist cause and theories on its principles and methods.
Kim Thae Hi, chief secretary of the party committee of Kim Il Sung University, noted the socialist ideology is a main engine which makes it possible to fully demonstrate the invincible might in all fabrics of society and victoriously advance it and that socialism is a society which develops by dint of purposeful and conscious struggle of the popular masses equipped with the socialist ideology.
Ri Hye Jong, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, proved the reason why modeling the whole society on the monolithic idea has become a basic mission of the ideological work under socialism.
Ri Yong Chol, director and editor-in-chief of the Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House, noted that the party's leadership is vital to the ideological work under socialism.
Kim Ryong Sik, secretary of the primary party committee of Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, said it is the firm will of Marshal Kim Jong Un to hold fast to the Juche-oriented theory of idea as a powerful means for the final victory. -0-
