Intensive anti-“government” action
Intensive is the south Korean workers’ action to win democratic right and right to existence.
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) launched general strike on April 24 to fight against misrule of the puppet authorities and win democratic right and right to existence in 17 areas of south Korea. .
Rallies and demos simultaneously took place in 17 areas including Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Daejon, Daegu, Ulsan, Cheju Province of south Korea.
Present at the rally held in Seoul were over 15 000 people including members of the KCTU and those of its affiliated unions, members of the Government Employees' Union and the Korean Teachers and Education WorkersUnion, those of more than 2 000 civic organizations and bereaved families of the ferry Sewol disaster.

Chairman of the KCTU Han Sang-gyun said at the rally that they turned out on a strike to fight against the tyranny of the present "government" and capital and rescue the workers and commoners.
He called for carrying on the struggle for putting an end to the regime standing against workers, democracy and people's living, and the corrupt one together with the people of all social strata with the general strike as a momentum.
At the end of the rallies, they chanted slogans denouncing the misrule of the Park regime, carrying placard written “Resign! the Park Geun-hye regime!”
Anti-"government" actions for winning the vital rights were staged in different parts of south Korea on April 25 with at least 100 000 persons of more than 350 civic organizations including government employees, teachers, workers, peasants, the poor, youth, women and the disabled involved.
There took place a people's rally in Seoul to oppose the Park Geun-hye regime's moves to retrogressively revise pension.
It was attended by more than 40 000 members of various organizations carrying placards.
They accentuated they would launch a drive for increment of public pension with an active joint actions, noting a struggle is the only way.
They called upon all organizations to fight against the regime's policy against welfare and the common people.
Similar rallies also took place in Busan, Daegu and Gwangju that day.
