The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement on the 50th anniversary of the naming of the Kimilsungia flower and the 50th anniversary of the visit of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG to the Republic of Indonesia;

      The decision by President Sukarno  to name an orchid flower after the great leader President KIM IL SUNG reflected the feelings of the people of Indonesia who treasured the relations of friendship with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and deeply respected President KIM IL SUNG who had created a world model of self-reliance and socialism.

The visit of President KIM IL SUNG to  anti-imperialist independent Indonesia in April 1965 contributed greatly to the unity of the anti-imperialist forces as well as the DPRK's development of friendly relations with the newly independent countries as well as inspiring the progressive and revolutionary people of Indonesia in their struggle to build a new independent society and reject all forms of imperialism and neocolonialism.

Today the Kimisungia blooms as the flower of the era of independence and the relations of friendship  between the Korean and Indonesian people's forged by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and President Sukarno continue today despite the twists and turns of history.
