ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA support White Paper of Korean National Peace Committee

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK) , Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA) issued a joint statement in support of the White Paper issued by the Korean National Peace Committee on the 9th of March;

We wholeheartedly concur with the view of the Korean National Peace Committee that the US imperialists have committed a very grave crime indeed in turning south Korea into a giant nuclear forward base and a potential flashpoint of a world nuclear war which could threaten the continued existence of humanity.

The US imperialists first introduced nuclear weapons into Korea during the Korean War in 1950 and threatened to use them against the young Democratic People's Republic which at that time was a non-nuclear power . Then after the war in blatant violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement   
paragraph 13 d the US shipped many nuclear weapons into south Korea turning south Korea into a nuclear forward base. By the 1980s there were over 1720 nuclear warheads of the US in south Korea, more than enough to destroy the DPRK many hundreds of time .
                      The US imperialists ignored the DPRK's sincere and patient efforts to create a nuclear free zone on the Korean peninsula . Even when the DPRK acceded to the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty(NPT) in 1985 the US stubbornly refused to withdraw its nuclear weapons from south Korea even though this was in violation of the supposed terms of the NPT. Other efforts of the DPRK to denuclearise the Korean peninsula met with a negative response from the US. Thus the US is the prime mover and architect of the nuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.

The assertions of the US that it has removed its nuclear weapons from south Korea are quite unbelievable given the experience of the US in different parts of the world. Indeed the US took a
"Neither Confirm Nor Deny " stance to the question as to whether they took their nuclear weapons out of south Korea.  In fact the US maintain an underground nuclear depot in south Korea and have deployed Depleted Uranium(DU) bullets in south Korea. DU weapons were used against civilian populations in Yugoslavia and Iraq causing many deaths and illnesses. DU weapons are a hated weapon .
Thus the  DPRK was totally correct in developing  self-defensive nuclear deterrent in order to redress the imbalance between itself and the US.

The White Paper of the Korean National Peace Committee needs to be studied deeply and distributed
widely . We avail ourselves of this opportunity to call for the immediate cessation of Foal Eagle and Key Resolve and the withdrawal of all US forces including nuclear weapons from south Korea.
