The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK, the Juche Idea Study Group of England  and the UK Korean Friendship Association today wish to support the statement of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea of the 7th of January concerning the stance of the south Korean authorities towards the improvement of inter-Korean relations :

We support the statement of the spokesman for the National Defence Commission of the DPRK on the question of inter-Korean dialogue and the improvement of inter-Korean relations because in his
New Year for 2015 dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN put forward epochal proposals for
substantially reducing tension and improving inter-Korean dialogue  which even included the
holding of an inter-Korean summit (which would have been the first one since nearly 8 years). However in order for any of this to take place the correct conditions have to be created . Dialogue
cannot be achieved by the efforts of only one side just as any relationship which is one-sided is ultimately doomed to failure.

However the south Korean puppet regime have not gone about the issue the right way , far from it .
Instead they have aided and abetted the scattering of anti-DPRK leaflets by reactionary anti-DPRK human scum  jabbering about "freedom of expression " . Worse still these elements plan to even launch balloons with dvds of the anti-DPRK film "The Interview " into the DPRK.  They have also
refused to abandon military exercises with the US imperialists and their Joint Chief of Staff has made
provocative and bellicose noises.

Given the behaviour of the south Korean authorities it does seem hard to have an optimistic view of the improvement of inter-Korean relations. The three point question asked the by the DPRK NDC
spokesman is extremely relevant and the south Korean regime needs to give an answer to the clear
and simple questions posed : do they have a will to improve inter-Korean relations ? , do they intend to create a peaceful environment and do they adhere to the spirit of "By Our Nation Itself".  The answers to these questions are crucial in determining whether the Korean nation can move forward towards peace and reunification in 2015 or remain locked in confrontation.

We once again reiterate the fundamental stance of our organisations that the south Korean regime must create a peaceful environment conducive to dialogue by ceasing military exercises with the
US imperialists and desisting from hostile actions and psychological warfare against the DPRK.
