In April 2012 the dear
respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN , a distinguished thinker
and theoretician published the work “Let Us Hold Great
Comrade Kim Jong Il in High Esteem as General Secretary of Our Party
Forever and Successfully Accomplish the Revolutionary Cause of
Juche". This
work was a speech to Senior officials of the Central Committee of
Workers' Party of Korea. It was made shortly before the 4th
Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea which elected the great
leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
as the eternal general secretary of the WPK and also before the
session of the Supreme People's Assembly that elected great
generalissimo KIM JONG IL as eternal chairman of the National Defence
Commission of the DPRK , the highest office of state of the DPRK. It should be added that the speech was
made just before the momentous celebrations of the of the centenary
of the birth of the great leader comrade KIM
IL SUNG
(which we participated in ) and some 5 months after the passing away
of the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL.
We can remember the 4th
Conference of the WPK elected the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
as eternal general secretary and the events such as the unveiling of
the new statue of the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
on the Mansu Hill.
This work of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN basically
addresses the issue of continuing the
revolutionary cause , that is the revolutionary cause of Juche , the
casuse of Songun (army-first policy ) . As such it s
a work of weighty importance explains why the great leader comrade
KIM JONG IL
is the eternal general secretary of the WPK and clearly defines
KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM
the revolutionary ideology guiding the Korean revolution.
In
this work dear respected Marshal KIM
JONG UN
put forward the idea of having the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
as the Eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea. This
was not to be a symbolic gesture but actually to reflect the will and
faith of the members of the WPK and Korean people to always follow
the road charted by the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
and to hold him in high esteem . The great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL
led was the helm of the Workers' Party of Korea for several decades
and led the DPRK through many challenges . As a result of his
leadership the DPRK was able to conclude victoriously the 'Arduous
march' and Forced March and the DPRK became a satellite launching
nation and a nuclear power.
Having the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as eternal general
secretary of the WPK and eternal chairman of the NDC means that the
lines and ideas of the revolution are continued unaltered . Dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN says
We should hold
the General up invariably as the General Secretary of our Party.
To hold him in
high esteem as the eternal General Secretary of our Party is, in
principle, a demand for consistently holding fast to his ideology and
lines and advancing our revolutionary cause victoriously.
Holding him up as
the eternal General Secretary of the WPK is never symbolic in itself.
It means having him at the post of General Secretary of the Party
invariably and conducting Party building and Party activities in
accordance with his ideology and intention.
His ideology and
lines are the permanent guiding principles for our Party and
revolution and ever-victorious banners whose justness and vitality
have been proved through the practice of the revolution. Separated
from them, the victorious advance and accomplishment of the cause of
our revolution are inconceivable. If our Party is to lead the Korean
revolution along the road of victory and glory as it did in the past,
it should hold the General in high esteem as its eternal General
Secretary and strictly adhere to and thoroughly implement his
ideology and lines.
The above passage explains why the Korean people uphold the great
leader generalissimo
KIM JONG IL as the eternal general secretary of the WPK. It
basically reflects the demand for the continuation of the revolution and the line of Juche and
Songun . It is basically a declaration of sticking to the road of Juche forever . Great
generalissimo KIM JONG IL himself declared “Expect No Change From Me “ after the great
leader President KIM IL SUNG passed away . This work of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN
also clarifies that there will be
no change in the line of the Korean revolution . This
dealt a shattering blow to the imperialist reactionaries who had
hoped for some kind of "change" in the WPK and even
"opening up" and "reform". Now under the wise
leadership of dear respected
Marshal Kim Jong Un the WPK and Korean people are cementing the
monolithic ideological system of KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILSM.
In this work
the dear respected leader Marshal Kim Jong Un gave a brilliant
exposition of the concept of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism . He showed
that Kimilsungism -Kimjongilism is a map and at the same time a
guiding compass for the Korean revolution charting the way to final
victory of the Korean revolution.
As the respected leader
Marshal KIM JONG UN gives the following clear and lucid
definition
"Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism
is an integral system of the idea, theory and method of Juche, and a
great revolutionary ideology representative of the Juche era. Guided
by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, we should conduct Party building and
Party activities, so as to sustain the revolutionary character of our
Party and advance the revolution and construction in line with the
ideas and intentions of the President and the General.
Imbuing the whole
society with Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the highest programme of
our Party. It is a revolutionary inheritance of the imbuing of the
whole society with Kimilsungism and its development onto a new,
higher stage.".
So is defined in crystal clear terms as integrating the idea ,
theory and method of the Juche idea and being a great revolutionary
ideology of the Juche era. Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN
rightly says that the WPK must always follow the road of
KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM and make it as an invariable and
absolute guideline forever. He puts forward a number of tasks for
doing this.
Firstly, dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN stresses that
“We should
continuously develop the WPK into the eternal, glorious
party
of Kim Il Sung
and Kim Jong Il.
In order to do this the ideology of KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM must
be adhered without deviation and the monolithic leadership of the
party more firmly established . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN
warns against those who seek to undermine the single-hearted unity of
the DPRK and WPK saying
“Now that the
enemy resorts to every conceivable scheme to check the pure-hearted
aspiration of our people who follow their Party and alienate the
Party from them, we should further intensify education of the people
and, at the same time, wage a positive struggle to foil the enemy’s
moves.
“
He also makes reference later to the task of eliminating
non-socialist elements from society
“The effort to
build a thriving socialist country is accompanied by a serious class
struggle to eliminate all that are hostile and non-socialist.”
This is a brilliant exposition of a basic truth , as taught by the
great leaders President KIM IL SUNG and general KIM JONG IL that
class struggle continues under socialism . This is an important
lesson as former socialist countries failed to carry out the class
struggle .
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN gave tasks to strengthen the work of
defence , pointing
out that “Songun means our independence, dignity and
lifeblood” . This is a very apt expression of the very
essence of the Songun idea .
Dear respected Marshal
KIM JONG UN is leading the struggle for building a thriving
socialist country under the banner of KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM
true to the behests of the great
leader comrade KIM
JONG IL.
