Souvenir Photograph at Panmunjom

                                    

              

The following happened on March 3, Juche101 (2012) when the situation was as tense as in wartime.

The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un visited Panmunjom, a forefront post.

An outpost some 8km of Kaesong city, Panmunjom is located in the Demilitarized Zone adjacent to the Military Demarcation Line.

That’s why when greeting the Marshal, soldiers could not raise a shout of joy.

Seeing them, Kim Jong Un admonished them not to be so strained and made his way towards the Panmun House with composure.

Soldiers hastily stood in his way, but he straightly went up to the balcony of the Panmun House, looking down the enemy’s position at a stone’s throw so calmly.

That day Kim Jong Un looked round different places of Panmunjom, keeping deep in his mind how ardently Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il had wished to reunify the country.

Saying he would have a photograph taken with the security officers on combat duty in the conference room area of Panmunjom, Kim Jong Un gave an instruction to withdraw all of them.

Surprised at it, the commander of the unit requested him to pose for photograph with the soldiers on combat duty separately.

Kim Jong Un said in a sonorous voice.

“Don’t worry. Who on earth dares to pounce upon in the presence of Supreme Commander?

Today Supreme Commander guards Panmunjom. Recall all security officers from their post.”

That is how all soldiers at Panmunjom had a chance to pose for a photograph together with Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Not long afterwards, late in March, U.S. president Obama arrived in Seoul to attend a nuclear security summit and straightly showed up in the Demilitarized Zone of the Military Demarcation Line area.

He stayed in an observation post walled in by bulletproof glass only for a few minutes before disappearing.

Reporting it, the world media said Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of Korea is just the same with President Kim Il Sung and Chairman of the National Defense Commission Kim Jong Il in determination and courage.

The photograph taken at Panmunjom was a historic picture that exhibited the superb courage and pluck of Marshal Kim Jong Un,Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army.
