Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the National Peace
Committee of Korea (NPCK) Thursday issued a statement assailing the
south Korean puppet authorities for extending the transfer of OPECON
(wartime operation control) in collusion and conspiracy with the U.S.
The statement branded the puppet group's action as a hideous act of
treachery putting the five traitors of 1905 into the shade who sold off
the country to outside forces and a dangerous act of pushing the
situation on the Korean Peninsula and the region to the brink of a
nuclear war.
There are many countries and nations on the earth but it does not
know such wicked sycophants and traitors as the south Korean authorities
who offered a huge amount of money for refusing to take over the
military sovereignty usurped by the outside forces, it noted, and
continued:
South Korea which had been reduced to a colonial servant of the U.S.
after being deprived of military sovereignty, the core of national
sovereignty, by it cannot but be a laughing stock of the world people as
it pretends to be an "advanced state," talking about "state status."
The military conspiracy and nexus for aggression between the U.S.
and the puppet regime have gone beyond a tolerance limit, further
increasing the danger of a nuclear war on the peninsula and putting
peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world at great peril.
The prevailing situation eloquently proves how just the DPRK is when
it is bolstering up its nuclear deterrent for self-defence in every
way, holding aloft the banner of the line for simultaneously developing
the two fronts.
The army and people of the DPRK will never allow the U.S. and puppet
warmongers' moves to ignite a nuclear war but resolutely foil them with
its powerful treasured sword of Songun.
The dangerous military conspiracy and nexus between the U.S. and the
puppet regime will bring them nothing but a shameful destruction. -0-
