President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea and founder of the Juche idea devoted his whole life to the country and people.

Working hard only for the people’s freedom and liberation and national reunification, he continued his meditation for reunification even in the last day of his life.

It was dawning on July 7, Juche 83(1994), but the office room of President Kim Il Sung was still alight.

Looking at it, an official was worried for fear that the President would work all night.

He entered the office room of the President and found him examining a thick document in deep thought.

The official told him that it was about time to take a walk set by leader Kim Jong Il.

Awakened from his meditation, Kim Il Sung said that he should keep to daily routine unconditionally, but today he was to break morning walk time because he should perfect document concerning national reunification soon and discuss with Kim Jong Il.

Then he was given to deep meditation again.

The document contained matters pertaining to inter-Korean summit talks that would put an end to the tragedy of national division and open a new phase of reunification.

Facing an imminent turning phase of reunification, a cherished desire of all the Koreans, he thought deep of how to hold the summit successfully.

Examining whether the document proposes correct ways to remove the dark clouds of nuclear war brought about by foreign forces and reunify the country in concerted efforts of the north and south, whether it reflects the ardent wish of the nation properly and guarantees the welfare of the posterity as well as present generation and whether it contains the most reasonable solutions to the raised problems that are acceptable to those who have different ideas and ideals, he also inserted alternative proposals in detail.

After turning the last page Kim Il Sung took up a pen and signed “Kim Il Sung July 7, 1994”.

Then he said to officials confidently national reunification our nation had impatiently longed for was just ahead.

With his face beaming all over, Kim Il Sung told an official to report to Kim Jong Il that he completed the document.

That was the meditation and autograph of President Kim Il Sung in his last day.
