The speech of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un , "Let Us Hasten the Final Victory through a Revolutionary Ideological Offensive!"made at the 8th conference of ideological workers of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK) is a speech of great importance and profound significance that heralds a new turn in the ideological work of the WPK .The speech is undoubtedly one of the most significant speeches made in the present era as it the only exposition of the tasks in ideological work by the leader of a socialist country. This speech effectively marked the 40th anniversary of the announcement of the programme of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjonglism.

As the great leaders of the Korean revolution comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il made clear idelogical work is essential for accomplishing the cause of socialism . This point is powerfully reinforced by the dear respected leader Marshal Kim Jong Un who makes it clear that ideological work is intimately bound up with the destiny of the Korean revolution

" The whole course of the Korean revolution can be called a history of ideological work to give fullest play to the might of the truth of the revolutionary ideology of the President and the General."

Thus the revolutionary ideology of Juche created by the great leader President Kim Il Sung and developed by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il is the lifeblood of the Korean revolution .

Remarking that it is 40 years since the programme of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism , respected leader Marshal Kim Jong Un stresses that the basic strategic line of ideological work is to model the whole of society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

A key task in this is to thoroughly establish the monolithic ideological system throughout society . This is is absolutely vital and assumes top priority . Moreover the work of cementing the monolithic leadership must be carried out in practical terms and must not be just done on paper. Recently the WPK defeated an internal counter-revolutionary factionalist group which was " an ideologically degenerate entity which was outwardly overcome with fear for the pressure by the imperialists and inwardly contaminated with bourgeois ideology and culture." This is a very

apt and fitting description of the counter-revolutionary faction.

Dear respected leader Marshal Kim Jong Un expressed his deep conviction the work of building socialism will enter a period of definite upsurge after the defeat of the modern day factionalist group

" The soaring mental spirit of our service personnel and people, who, after liquidating the modern version of factionalist group, have hardened up their determination to follow the Party Central Committee invariably along the long road of revolution, should be fanned to flare up into flames of a great revolutionary upsurge.

Historically speaking, great victory was won in the Fatherland Liberation War after the purge of an anti-Party, counter-revolutionary factionalist clique following the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Party Central Committee; the Chollima upswing was brought about in the course of eliminating the August 1956 factionalist group; and world-startling successes were achieved in the showdown with the United States and the socialist industrialization drive after the anti-Party revisionists were exposed and purged at the 15th Plenary Meeting of the Fourth Party Central Committee."

These words are very true and eloquently sum up the victories achieved by the WPK in the struggle for monolithic unity against factionalists and revisionists. The crucial point being made

here is that victory in the revolutionary struggle and the work of socialist construction is

secured through the smashing of factionalists. It is a fact that the most dangerous enemy a

country and a party can face is the internal enemy , one enemy inside is equal to a hundred

enemies outside . As expounded above the Korean revolution has won decisive victory

each time factions were defeated for example the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War

came after the exposure and liquidation of the Pak Hon Yong -Li Sung Yop spy clique , the

Chollima upswing when industrial output growth hit 36% per year came after the

defeat of anti -party counter-revolutionary factionalists in August 1956 and the victory

of socialist industrialisation . Indeed the experience of the Soviet and Chinese revolutions

also shows that once factionalists were defeated the revolution forges ahead.

Dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un stress ideological work to bring into fully play the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance must be stepped up. Self reliance is the traditional mode of the Korean revolution . Moreover self -reliance is a practical application of the Juche idea . As dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un says

" We can say that the whole history of socialism of our own style boils down to self-reliance. In the days of building socialism by their own efforts, our Party and people underwent unprecedented ordeals and difficulties, but they were loaded with all honours they could not enjoy through the history of their nation spanning thousands of years. Had we abandoned the principle of self-reliance succumbing to the pressure by outside forces, the Juche-oriented socialism would not have been born on the earth and the name of our country would have suffered eclipse along with the collapse of the worldwide socialist system. On the track of self-reliance Chollima rose up on the ruins of war and such a miracle as the birth of a manufacturer and launcher of an earth satellite and nuclear state was wrought, a miracle of great significance in the national history."

This shows that self-reliance has led to great victories such as the acquisition of the nuclear deterrent and launch of an artificial satellite. Self-reliance will smash the sanctions and blockades of the imperialists . Moreover this is a militant declaration against "reform" and "opening up "which destroy socialism.

In this speech dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un emphasises the need for full combat the insidious ideological and cultural infiltration , calling for a double and treble 'mosquito net' to be put so as to thwart the poisonous venom of imperialist and capitalist ideas. The former socialist countries collapsed mainly because they co-operated with imperialism and allowed the massive infiltration of the decadent and reactionary culture of imperialism. Interesting in recent days there

was the revelation (though it came as no surprise whatsoever ) that the CIA had acquired the

copyright of Boris Pasternak's reactionary bourgeois anti Soviet novel “Dr Zhivago “ and

budgets of over $250 million dollars. This gives some indication of the effort that the imperialists

put into ideological and cultural infiltration.

Rather than simply calling for a defensive campaign to secure the ideological position of Juche-based , Korean style socialism dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un actually stresses that there needs to a be pro-active campaign , a revolutionary ideological offensive to the smash the degenerate ideology of capitalism. Party ideological workers should " make ideological "missiles" in larger numbers that can deal a heavy blow at the enemy and instil firm confidence in victory in our service personnel and people." Such "ideological missiles " will be more powerful than a 100, a 1000 atomic bombs and will blast the corrupt capitalist ideology , the sick ideology of , Michael Jackson, Coca Cola and McDonalds , out of existence !
