Media lies about DPRK health service refuted

The supposedly liberal "Guardian " newspaper has increased its coverage of the DPRK . In reality despite its liberalism the "Guardian " is very much part of the capitalist press , it is simply aimed at teachers, social workers and trendy liberal types from the so-called "chattering classes ".
One article of the "Guardian " attacked the DPRK's advanced socialist public health service with the screaming headline "north Korean health service crumbles as shortages and sanctions bite ". Of course it is true that the DPRK faces harsh sanctions imposed by the imperialists and the UN , However the article disregards the fact that the DPRK has a self-reliant independent national economy which gives it the potential to overcome such sanctions and prosper.
Rather than crumbling the DPRK health service has greatly expanded. In recent years the Ryugyong Dental Hospital ,
the Okryu Childrens Hospital , the Taesongsan General Hospital and the new Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital have been constructed, A rate of health service construction quite unprecedented in the world.
The DPRK health service has been buttressed by increasing spending unlike the UK which faces cutbacks all the time, For example between 2012 and 2013 spending on public health was increased by 8.9 per cent and by a further 5.4 per cent in 2013-2014. This figures in themselves give lie to the "Guardian"'s blatant nonsense.
