Brief Statement on the Newman case -ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA

The ASSPUK , JISGE and UK KFA issued the following brief joint statement concerning the Newman case in the DPRK .

 Merrill Newman has confessed to his crimes against the DPRK both past and present. Newman is guilty of various serious war crimes during the Fatherland Liberation War including killing civilians. Some may quibble about Newman's advanced age and health however it should be noted that even today nazi war criminals of 92 years of age are put on trial. What about the innocent DPRK citizens that Newman killed in the Korean war and their families what about their human rights ?

  Moreover Newman compounded his crimes by carrying out hostile acts against the DPRK. It is the DPRK 's independent right to detain and try him for war crimes as well hostile anti DPRK actions. It would seem that the US and other imperialist  reactionaries are sending spies into the DPRK under the guise of tourists .
