Idiotic Baloney from so-called experts on the DPRK or "Pyongyangologists"

                  Another cog in imperialism's massive anti DPRK propaganda machine are the so-called "Pyongyangologists " , so called self-styled experts who have never actually set foot in the DPRK but claim to be the expert on anything and everything that goes on in the DPRK.  One such website run by these self-styled experts claims to offer "Research and Analysis on the DPRK Leadership" . Well it doesn't plenty of rumours, unsubstantiated allegations, unconfirmed reports , guesses etc but no actual research or analysis at all. Just pure and simple baloney. Needless a lot of its sources are the CIA and the south Korean National Intelligence Service.
                                                                   Some of the material on is based on the premise of divisions or  differences of opinions within the WPK and DPRK leadership. Such an idea is fairly tale thinking. Visiting the DPRK twice in 2012 it was very evident that the people and party are firmly united around dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and everyone supports him without dissension . The DPRK is firmly united around the Juche Idea and the Songun idea . Indeed the DPRK is the most harmonious and united society in the world.

These are of our own choice, and now we see they go with the trend of the world in the 21st century. There may be many roads to go for victory in revolution but we think we have taken the most correct and shortest road to victory, and we take a great pride in our choice that is admired by the progressive people of the world.

REVIEW OF THE BOOK "MOTHER OF KOREA "

I recently read the book " Mother of Korea " which is a biographical novel about Madame Kang Ban Sok the mother of the great leader President Kim Il Sung and an early pioneer of the feminist movement and communist movement in Korea. This book published by an anonymous author in 1978 by the Foreign Languages Publishing House rather than being a standard historical and political biography is a well written and highly readable biographical sketch in the form of a novel . Of course it is based on real facts.
Reading the book one learnt a lot about Korean history as well as basic socialist ideas and the Juche idea. Kang Ban Sok was born into a poor farming family who were exploited by landlords. When she was growing up the Japanese imperialists were insidiously taking over Korea , Japan was not the only big power that coveted Korea and interfered in , the US and Britain were involved with the former sending spies and so-called "missionaries " into Korea . Other would be colonisers were China and Russia . Some of Korea's feudal rulers foolishly pinned their hopes on protection from these great powers but they were pushed aside by Japan who annexed Korea formally in 1910 though had already entered Korea in 1905.
Kang Ban Sok whilst growing up witnessed the oppression and enslavement by the Japanese imperialists, her family and other villagers suffered from the exploitation by the greedy useless landlord who each year took most of the crops for himself which was the product of their hardwork. Kang Ban Sok later realised that this was the reality of the exploiter system. Indeed one could not help thinking of the descriptions of capitalist exploitation in the famous British socialist novel "The Ragged  Trousered Philanthropists "( "The Great Money Trick) . The anonymous Korean author describes the exploiter system with great clarity and sharpness.
Kang Ban Sok dreamed of a world without landlords , without exploitation but when young did not know how to bring it about. It was realised in practice by her son the great leader President Kim Il Sung who carried out land reform and built a socialist system in the DPRK .
Kang Ban Sok married Kim Hyong Jik a revolutionary and a Korean nationalist who later turned to communism, She supported her husband's activities but also organised the women as well smashing down feudal taboos and promoted the liberation of women.
Kim Hyong Jik her husband was arrested by the Jap imperialist police and was tortured he died at an early age as a result . His son Kim Il Sung took up the baton of struggle. He rejected the abject flunkeyism and reformism of the bourgeois nationalists as well the chronic factionalism of the so-called communists. Kang Ban Sok loyally supported her son. She handed over to him the  2 pistols bequeathed to him by his father Kim Hyong Jik. This symbolised the start of the Songun revolution.
Tragically Kang Ban Sok also died at an early year before reaching 40 and was not able to see the liberated Korea she dreamed of.
All in all these is a marvellous story that should be read by all adherents of the Juche idea and socialists.

International Committee for the Release of Mr Ro Su Hui denounces recent jail sentence

                   The International Committee for the Release of Mr Ro Su Hui strongly  denounces the  south Korean puppet authorities for the 4 year jail sentence imposed on vice -chairman Mr Ro Su Hui of the south side

                    This is an outrageous and despotic act against Mr Ro who had simply campaigned for peace and reunification. All he did was to visit the northern half of his own country, this should not be considered a crime.  The repression of  Mr Ro is an example of the anachronistic , repressive and despotic "national security law " of south Korean which punishes unauthorised contact with the northern half of Korea. The NSL is a copy of the laws of Japanese colonialism. The NSL not only denies freedom of travel, association, speech and thought but also is a barrier to national reunification.
                        Mr Ro was subjected to brutal treatment when he crossed back into south Korea and was held without trial for more than 6 months in south Korea. Mr Ro is is over the age of 65 and he is suffering from cancer. This is a
most inhuman act of the south Korean fascist  regime.
                                      The jail sentence is the action of those who want to create  an atmosphere of fascist terrorism in south Korea  and intimidate those who genuinely aspire after independent reunification.

The jail sentence on Mr Ro proves that south Korea is a repressive fascist regime. The nature of south Korea has not changed under the Park Geun Hye regime it is just as bad as before.

We demand that the jail sentence on Mr Ro is rescinded forthwith and he is released from jail !

Fascist Action against Pro-Reunification Patriot under Fire

 

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- On May 24 the puppet Seoul High Court sentenced Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), to four years in prison on charge of violation of the ill-famed "Security Law." This fascist action was taken against him for paying a visit to Pyongyang to pay condolences over the greatest loss to the Korean nation.
    At the same time, it sentenced even the seriously ailing secretary general of the above-said headquarters to a prison term on a groundless charge that he helped Ro visit Pyongyang.
    A spokesman for the North Headquarters of Pomminryon said in a statement Monday in this regard:
    The puppet court's infliction of heavy penalties upon the members of the South Headquarters at a trial is part of the south Korean authorities' fascist scenario to stamp out the pro-reunification patriotic headquarters by labeling it an "organization benefiting the enemy" and a height of the confrontation racket against the DPRK.
    Ro's Pyongyang visit can never be a crime in the light of the elementary human ethics and morality and beautiful manners and customs of the Korean nation handed down through generations as it was a great righteous deed prompted by his single desire for national reconciliation, unity and reunification.
    The statement bitterly condemned the suppression of Ro Su Hui and members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon as an unpardonable insult to the desire of all fellow countrymen for national reconciliation, unity and reunification, fascist violence aimed to stamp out the pro-reunification patriotic forces in south Korea and moves to revive the "yusin" dictatorship.
    Some days ago, the ruling "Saenuri Party's" gentry brought even the issue of instituting an evil law such as the "law on dissolving criminal organizations" at the "National Assembly", openly revealing its sinister intention to stamp out the pro-reunification patriotic forces in south Korea, the statement noted, and went on:
    The reality goes to clearly prove that the desire of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification can never come true unless the history of treachery characterized by submission to foreign forces, fascist suppression and confrontation with fellow countrymen is brought to an end and a new society is built in south Korea.
    The puppet conservative ruling authorities are now working hard to bring under control the serious ruling crisis caused by the anti-"government" sentiment running high among people of various circles in south Korea by escalating the confrontation with the DPRK and reviving the fascist tyrannical rule. But this will only precipitate their disgraceful ruin.
    The puppet group should immediately roll back the confrontation policy which brought the inter-Korean relations to a collapse and set free Ro and other pro-reunification patriots at once. -0

                                         London 27th of May Juche 102(2013) The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK, the Juche Idea Study  Group of England and the UK Korean Friendship Association today issued a joint statement in connection with the recent statement of the Policy Department of the DPRK National Defence Commission ;


                      We strongly support the statement issued by the Policy Dept of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the highest state body of the DPRK, on the  25th of May concerning the moves of Park Geun Hye the south Korean puppet ruler against the DPRK.
                                    Park Geun Hye has been grovelling to her Yankee masters recently and is carrying on with the confrontational stance  of the Lee Myung Bak fascist regime . As the statement of the Policy Dept of the NDC of the DPRK says that the examples of anti-DPRK confrontational measures are far too numerous to list.
                      Park a self-styled "iron lady " in the mould of the deceased and hated Thatcher is following in the footsteps of her father Park Chung Hee the notorious "Yushin" dictator of south Korea ( Yushin refers to the fascist ruling system of south Korea in the 1970s).
                                                          It is a criminally ignorant slander of Park's to describe the  brilliant revolutionary line of the DPRK on simultaneously building up the economy and nuclear armed forces in parallel  as "gamble ". This is an insult to the mighty Songun idea and Songun politics which are tried and tested in practice. Indeed the line of building in parallel the economy and nuclear  deterrent are a modern application of the unique independent revolutionary line  of building the economy and defence in parallel put forward by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung in 1962. This original line brought great results as the  DPRK became known as the "model country of socialism" and "Chollima Korea". The current line of   simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force will , without doubt , produce great results . When it is carried out the DPRK will became a thriving socialist country , a socialist people's paradise  and achieve national reunification.
 Park Geun Hye's policies are making south Korea more and more dependent on the US , demanding more US investment in south Korea and allowing US capitalists to seize control of the south Korean economy . Park represents the 1% of south Korean society who oppress and exploit the 99% of people . The Park regime is already mired in scandals and corruption such as the Yoon Chang-jung. The Park regime is a total disaster and will be overthrown one day.
The stance of the DPRK towards the Park fascist puppet regime ,as clarified by

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- South Korea is now increasingly turning into the world's worst theater of human rights abuses and fascist suppression. This is unthinkable without the U.S. colonial rule over south Korea. Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a bylined article.
The whole south Korea is the U.S. imperialists' colony, the article notes, and goes on: South Korea is totally dependent on the U.S. in politics, economy, military affairs and all other fields and its ruling quarters are following the U.S. policy in every step and moving at the instructions and under the backstage manipulation of the U.S.
South Koreans' desire for democracy was ruthlessly dampened by the U.S. moves to maintain colonial rule in south Korea, which is being derided as the world biggest barren land of human rights.
The puppet regime is keen on dictatorship and suppression in a bid to cook people's goose for independence, democracy and reunification while serving the U.S. in its policy for colonial domination.
The puppet ruling quarters are maintaining their pro-American dictatorial regime under the patronage of the U.S., violating the people's democratic freedom and rights. This is being led to an action for reviving "yusin" dictatorship under the present regime.

A very good article . Human rights and democratic are totally impossible without independence. Without sovereign independence all other rights become completely meaningless , devoid of any real substance.
The right to independence and sovereignty is a vital human right itself. Why isn't the UN investigating south Korea rather than the DPRK !.
South Korea is ruled by outsiders, its rulers are not chosen by the people but are chosen by Washington , how undemocratic is that.

The Kwangju massacre of 1980 was carried out on the orders of the US imperialists.

In south Korea today those who advocate reunification and independence are thrown into jail but those who support the US and praise US culture are promoted. Thus south Korreans are even subjected to a form of racial discrimination within their own country.

DPRK Will Closely Follow Park Geun Hye's Future Behavior

 Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Policy Department of the DPRK National Defence Commission issued the following statement on Saturday:
    Park Geun Hye, puppet president of south Korea, openly revealed her sinister intention to stand in confrontation with the DPRK again on Thursday.
    When meeting with the director of the U.S. Centre for Strategic and International Studies and his party that day, she said that the north has played a "game" escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula. Recently she was so pitiful as to coquettishly behave, blustering that the north is attempting a new "gamble" called new line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.
    Personally hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, she made such reckless remarks as uttering the north cannot succeed in implementing the above-said line. She foolishly tried to shift the responsibility for having strained the overall situation on the Korean Peninsula onto the north.
    It is not the first time that she made such reckless remarks.
    She has kicked up confrontation hysteria seriously rattling the nerves of the north through a spate of malignant invectives and sheer sophism since she was busy with a shameful presidential campaign.
    Recently, she orchestrated a reckless confrontation charade in collusion with her American master during her U.S. junket, not content with staging such political burlesque in the corrupt south Korean society, unaware of domestic and foreign public criticism of her.
    Now that she can no longer hide her heinous confrontation stance towards the north, we cannot but argue about this.
    There is an old adage that an ignorant person had better not pretend to know anything and one should not dare mouth anything one does not know. Such mouthing is bound to reveal ignorance and reckless tongue-lashing causes unpredictable trouble.
    The same can be said of her rigmarole slandering the above-said line of the north.
    As far as this line is concerned, it is a great inheritance of the line on simultaneously developing the economy and defence up-building laid down by the DPRK to cope with the grave situation in the 1960s of the last century as it developed the line at a new stage as required by the prevailing situation on the eve of a war created by the U.S.
    This is the line which no other country in the world can ever advance. Thanks to this line the army and people of the DPRK are building a socialist land of bliss desired by all people and it is demonstrating its might as a political and ideological power, military power and nuclear weapons state envied by world people and feared by enemies.
    It is thanks to this strategic line that the DPRK has reliably protected the sovereignty of the nation and dignity and security of the people from the U.S. constant nuclear blackmail and moves for aggression.
    It is Park Geun Hye who does not know at all the great meaning and tremendous weight of this strategic line the justice and vitality of which have been irrefutably proved for decades.
    That is why she dared let loose such vituperation as "south Korea cannot allow nukes of the north," "the north should opt for making a switchover by dismantling its nukes first" and "the north cannot keep its inhabitants alive with nukes". She went the lengths of terming the above-said line a gamble.
    Being in the presidential office, she ought to know about the other party's policy to a certain extent. She had better buckle down to grasping the level of its military preparedness before learning how to change her skirt into trousers and change her civilian dress into a military uniform.
    Not a long period has passed since Park came to Chongwadae, but there are too many examples to cite to reveal the true colors as a confrontation-minded element.
    Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we cannot but draw attention to the present ruling quarters of south Korea including Park Geun Hye.
    Confrontation hysteria against us and whole string of invectives against us will only bring disgrace and destruction to them.
    Park Geun Hye and present south Korean ruling quarters would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times and stop their anachronistic actions swimming against it.
    She will never escape the same unfortunate fate as that of the successive puppet presidents of south Korea if she goes busy reviving "the yusin" dictatorship and fascist dictatorship and gets frantic with the moves to sell off the dignity of the nation to outside forces and escalate the confrontation with compatriots as now.
    She should seriously recollect why the "yusin" dictator was shot to death and why her predecessor Lee Myung Bak is being treated as a man more dead than alive.
    We will closely follow the future behaviors of the present ruling quarters of south Korea including Park Geun Hye. -0

Conference of Cell Secretaries of WPK

On January 23, Juche 102(2013) the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea adopted a decision on making it rule to hold a conference of cell secretaries.

Conference of cell secretaries of the WPK is a grand meeting of cell secretaries who work devotedly to develop the Party and build a prosperous nation, considering the development of party cells to be a main link and master key to strengthening the whole party.

The first conference of cell secretaries of the WPK took place in May Juche 80(1991), the second in March Juche 83(1994), the third in October Juche 96(2007) and the fourth in January Juche 102(2013).

Leader Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the WPK had given an instruction on organizing a conference of cell secretaries of the Party with an attendance of 10 000 persons in the future so that the cell secretaries might contribute large shares to strengthening party cells.

The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the WPK delivered a highly important speech at the fourth conference.

In the speech he said Party cell is a base of the Party life for the Party members, the Party’s end nerve stretched out into the masses of people and a scouting group in carrying out the Party’s policies. When the Party cells are strong, the Party will never shake in any adversity and there will be nothing to be afraid of or not to do.

He also pointed out that Party cell secretaries are the point men of our Party in building it up and implementing its lines and policies.

When the cell secretaries of the whole Party become the standard-bearers of the revolution and struggle and discharge their responsibilities, Party cells will be consolidated and our revolution will advance faster that much.

His speech is a grand program to bring about a new upswing in the revolution and construction by further strengthening the WPK attaining the dignity of President Kim Il Sung’s and leader Kim Jong Il’s august names and exploits organizationally and ideologically and enhancing its leading role.

President Kim Il Sung organized basic party organizations for the first time in the history of party building of working class and successfully accomplished the cause of party founding by way of expanding and strengthening them.

He, at the same time, wisely led the work for consolidating the party cells in every period and at each stage of the party and the developing revolution and increasing its role in every way.

Leader Kim Jong Il, brilliantly embodying President Kim Il Sung’s Juche-oriented ideas on party building and his exploits, strengthened and developed the WPK into a powerful vanguard unit of revolution composed of militant Party cells with a strong sense of organization and discipline.

Kim Jong Un advanced the idea and line of strengthening and developing the WPK into Kim Il Sung’s and Kim Jong Il’s party which will be glorious forever and ensured that the Party could decisively enhance its leading function and role by strengthening all party cells to suit the new requirements of the Party and the developing revolution.

He noted that if hundreds of thousands of Party cells active in all regions, fields and posts of the country are fully prepared, it will be possible to put fresh spurs to the Party work and overall affairs of the state and encourage all service personnel and people to perform world-startling miracles.

He also specified concrete tasks arising in strengthening the work of Party cells.

The conference of cell secretaries of the WPK will greatly contribute to strengthening the militant might of the Party and achieving a final victory of building a thriving nation.

Single-minded Unity of Korea

The leader, the Party and the masses are united single-mindedly in the DPRK.

Leader Kim Jong Il, eternal General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea took single-minded unity as his revolutionary philosophy and energetically led the work to boost it in every way.

He said our single-minded unity was formed when the Party and the leader trust in the people and the people practice loyalty to the Party and the leader. He also noted that the Party, the leader and the people are one in body and spirit, community of destiny.

Saying that when unity in thought and purpose based on one center and one idea blends with unity in moral obligation based on revolutionary comradeship and sense of duty, it can be the most solid and powerful unity and cohesion, he enforced the benevolent politics.

Here is an anecdote telling of his benevolent politics.

Many years ago leader Kim Jong Il visited a power plant construction site in the northern uplands. Thinking more of the dwellings of the evacuees from the inundated district than the construction of power plant, he ensured that better houses than the old ones were built for them and daily necessities were sent to them when they moved into new houses.

He regarded the conception “The people are my God” as his maxim and enforced the politics of love for people.

The people called him father and held him in high esteem with one mind and will.

The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the WPK and First Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK defined single-minded unity as the most valuable heritage left by great Kim Jong Il and mainstay of our revolution. He pointed out that our single-minded unity in which the leader, the Party and the masses are united firmly on the basis of great idea and warm affection is the greatest wealth out of all comparison.

Firmly determined to carry forward the tradition of single-minded unity generation after generation, Marshal Kim Jong Un respects the people infinitely, absolutizes their interests and takes care of them with a genuine motherly affection.

In order to link the broad masses of people to the Party with the feelings of kinship the WPK ensured that most of participants in the celebrations of the 66^th anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union were the children of ordinary workers, farmers, service personnel and intellectuals rather than those of cadres, and the children of those who committed offences against the country were chosen as delegates if they were exemplary in study and organizational life of the Children’s Union true to the Marshal Kim Jong Un’s noble intention.

Marshal Kim Jong Un said the Party wants to see the whole Party overflowing with love and trust for people.

Today the Korean people are all out to build the whole society into a large family of single-minded unity under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Pyongyang Kyongsang Kindergarten and Preschool Education

Ordinance of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK published on September 25, Juche 101(2012) “On enforcing the universal 12 year compulsory education” calls for making one or two models like Pyongyang Kyongsang Kindergarten in every province (city under direct jurisdiction) and generalizing it in all kindergartens of the country..

It is very important to provide all kindergartens in charge of one-year preschool education, the first stage of the universal 12-year compulsory education, with conditions of education as required by the era.

The Korean Party and state saw to it that Pyongyang Kyongsang Kindergarten built in the 1960s was reconstructed in an updated manner when building Changjon Street in Juche 101(2012).

Today Pyongyang Kyongsang Kindergarten serves as a model kindergarten of the new century that is provided with all conditions for the education of children and their growth such as education room, sleeping room, different playgrounds, dining hall and paddling pool.

The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the WPK and First Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK, visited the newly built kindergarten twice in Juche 101(2012).

Stressing the importance of preschool education, he solved all problems arising in the management of the kindergarten.

The DPRK has enforced one-year preschool education for all children in kindergartens since Juche 61(1972) under the universal 11-year compulsory education system.

The Pyongyang Kyongsang Kindergarten like all other kindergartens in the DPRK implants love for the country deep in the hearts of children and teaches Korean language, counting and other subjects of basic knowledge.

The kindergarten is also fully equipped with different playgrounds and gymnastic and amusement facilities suitable to the children’s mind.

Corridors, walls and other spaces are all decorated to help educate children.

The kindergarten channeled utmost efforts into training music prodigies and registered many successes.

In particular, it established the early music education system to teach children how to play national instruments, piano, violin and cello.

Today many children possessed of musical talent in Pyongyang give full swing to their learning.

Many children who finished the early music education course go on to Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory and other music schools and grow as promising artists.

Children of the kindergarten participated in international festivals in Moscow in Juche 100(2011) and Juche 101(2012), being highly admired for their talent for art.

It is Korean education view on the rising generation to make the children prepare as well-qualified workers in future by strengthening the education for them from kindergarten days.

The DPRK makes strives to generalize a model like Kyongsang Kindergarten widely to improve the preschool education and give play to the vitality and superiority of the universal 12-year compulsory education.

Rodong Sinmun Marks Anniversary of Kwangju Popular Uprising

    Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- The aspiration and desire of the people for new politics and life have rapidly grown strong since the "yusin" dictatorship met its end in 1979.
    Nevertheless, the military gangsters who seized power through the "December 12 army purge coup" responded to the people's growing demand for democracy with the May 17 military fascist action in spring of 1980 by an order of the U.S. imperialists.
    The declaration of "emergency martial law" in the wake of "martial law" which lasted for more than half a year under the reign of the military forces and strengthened fascist dictatorial rule sparked off great resistance of the south Korean people. It triggered off the fierce Kwangju Popular Uprising on May 18.
    The uprisers had put the city under their total control for more than 10 days.
    Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in a bylined article in this regard:
    The Kwangju Popular Uprising was patriotic and popular resistance to realize the desire of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification and a heroic armed uprising unprecedented in the modern history of the East.
    The uprising recorded a shining page in the history of the south Korean people's struggle against the U.S. and fascist forces and it still remains a symbol of the patriotic struggle of the people from all walks of life for independence, democracy and reunification.
    What the Kwangju uprisers desired 33 years ago was independence, democracy and reunification.
    However, foreign forces' domination and their stooges' dictatorial rule are still persisting in south Korea.
    It was none other than the U.S. which instigated the south Korean troops to put down the uprising at the point of bayonet. It was again the U.S. which zealously patronized and backed the military gangsters in their operation to turn Kwangju into a scene of genocide. It was none other than the U.S. which wirepulled the pro-U.S. conservative forces' seizure of power after ouster of pro-democracy and reform forces in a bid to put an end to the June 15 era of reunification.
    In order to translate the desire of the participants in the uprising into a reality, it is necessary to terminate the U.S. imperialists' colonial domination over south Korea and achieve the democratic development of society, concludes the article. -0-

The Kwangju Massacre carried out by the south Korean puppets and the US imperialists- ASSPUK , JISGE and UK KFA commentary

   33 years ago in the south Korean city of Kwangju south Korean troops officially sanctioned by the US to do so (as the south Korean puppet army is under the operational control of the US armed forces) massacred the citizens who had risen up against the corrupt reactionary fascistic rule of the dictator Chun Du Hwan.

    Some 5000 people were killed and left 14,000 injured. The south Korean fascist puppets tried to drown in a sea of the blood the aspirations of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification.

                             What happened in Kwangju 33 years ago  proves that south Korea is not the democracy the paid media of the US and other imperialist countries claim it is, it is not a "free" or "democratic" society but a brutal despotic fascist regime . Even now 33 years after Kwangju massacare the south Korean regime is planning to forcibly dissolve pro reunification organisations and has jailed pro-reunification champions such as Mr Ro Su Hui and Rev Han Sang Ryol. The nature of the south Korean fascist puppets has not changed just as a leopard cannot change its spots.

KCNA Commentary on Gun-related Crimes and Future of U.S.

 Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, there happened in Florida State a horrible gun-related crime at a time when the U.S. is at a loss what measures should be taken to bring gun-related crimes under control.
    A three-year child killed himself by firing a pistol he took from a bag of his uncle.
    The child was immediately taken to a hospital by his parents but he breathed his last.
    The child's death seems to foretell a tragic fate of the U.S., a hub of violence culture such as gun-related crimes.
    According to information released by the U.S. magazine Foreign Policy, gun-related violence leaves more than 30 000 people dead and over 200 000 wounded in the U.S. every year.
    This means that more than one person falls victim to this violence every two minutes.
    The U.S. administration claims to have taken steps to prevent it but their prospect remains gloomy.
    On January 16, the U.S. president made public a proposal for gun control the keynote of which is to ban the use of assault weapons and make an inquiry into all buyers of guns, etc.
    However, this proposal has, in fact, been put on the verge of becoming null and void due to the U.S. Gun Association which rakes up a huge amount of money through gun production and sale. It put pressure upon senators from ruling and opposition parties in the run-up to the 2014 mid-term election, showing off purses.
    In the final analysis, the proposal failed to reach U.S. Congress on April 17.
    The bottom line of gun-related crimes rife in the U.S. is the law of the jungle and extreme misanthropy, the almighty dollar principle and individualism.
    Hundreds of millions of guns possessed by Americans are charged with misanthropy. Gun report sounded in every crime is reminiscent of a shout "I can live only when I kill you" often heard from among Americans.
    The U.S.-style "freedom" and "democracy" reduced human beings to brutes and produced Article 2 of the revived Constitution which recognized the right to possession of guns, giving spurs to the sale of guns and horrible gun-related crimes.
    It is a matter of time that the whole of U.S. society will turn into a scene of gunfight.
    Owing to the corrupt ideology and culture prevalent throughout the society, U.S.-style capitalism is bound to meet self-destruction. This is the future of the U.S. -0-

Round-table Talks Held with Inhabitants of DPRK upon Their Return Home from S. Korea

    Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks with inhabitants of the DPRK were held at the Koryo Compatriots House on Friday upon their return home from south Korea to which they had been taken due to south Korean puppet agents' sinister plots and allurement and appeasement.
    They are Kang Kyong Suk, 60, who lived in Namyang Workers' District of Onsong County, North Hamgyong Province; Kim Kyong Ok, 41, who lived in Sinhung-dong No. 1 of Sariwon City, North Hwanghae Province; and Ri Hyok Chol, 26, who lived in Sabong-dong of Songphyong District, Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province.
    Kang Kyong Suk was taken to south Korea in 2010, Kim Kyong Ok in 2011 and Ri Hyok Chol in 2007.
    They brought to light the despicable plot-breeding and allurement and appeasement activities being conducted by the south Korean puppet group as part of the operations to lure and abduct inhabitants of the DPRK.
    Kim Kyong Ok recalled that she was taken to south Korea due to threat and appeasement made by Kim Kwang Chol, specialist in buying and tempting people wandering about China's border area, via "refugee camps" in Kunming, Yunnan Province of China and Thailand.
    Ri Hyok Chol said he was taken to south Korea, deceived by his elder brother Ri Sang Chol who defected to the south at the manipulation of Chon Ki Won, pastor of the "Turihana Missionary Council" in Pangbae-dong, Seoul. He said he felt disgusting towards the elder brother who took him to south Korea for a petty amount of money and seized his money. But he could not repress his bitter resentment at agents of the puppet Intelligence Service who manipulated such allurement and abduction operation, he added.
    The participants in the round-table talks laid bare the sinister aims sought by the puppet group in such operations.
    Kang Kyong Suk quoted a man who was in charge of her at the "Joint Center for Interrogation of Defectors from the North" in south Korea as saying: "We are trying to increase the ranks of defectors from the north, even spending so much money in order to win back even a person of the north to our side in a bid to weaken the forces of the Workers' Party of the north and bring them to collapse and hoist our flag there."
    Kim Kyong Ok also quoted a man who was questioning her as saying: "We keep bringing people like you to the south not because money is in surplus. It is aimed to disturb the mindset of the north and spread liberal democracy to it".
    The speakers described south Korea as the worst tundra of human rights, adding that they were exposed to harsh persecution and disgrace. They condemned the south Korean puppet group for its moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK.
    The south Korean puppet group is resorting to the smear campaign against the DPRK, trumpeting about the "human rights record" in the north, Kang Kyong Suk noted, and went on:
    The group set up even a TV channel specializing in conducting an anti-DPRK smear campaign, letting "defectors from the north" appear in programs.
    It went the lengths of bringing together those "who were not defectors from the north" and staging such burlesque as an art performance by a "group of beautiful girls, defectors from the north," in the heart of Seoul as part of the smear campaign against the north.
    Kim Kyong Ok noted that the puppet group is distributing money to wicked elements who fled to the south after committing crimes in the DPRK, before driving them to the anti-DPRK human rights campaign.
    Ri Hyok Chol bitterly denounced a representative of the "Federation of Movement for Free North Korea" in south Korea for his sheer fabrication and groundless vituperation. This guy claimed in a television news briefing program that the people of north Korea were forced to weep along the route during the ceremony of bidding the last farewell to leader Kim Jong Il in December 2011 and otherwise they were threatened with arrest.

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Kwangju uprising   the ASSPUK, Juche Idea Study Group of England and UK Korean Friendship issued the following joint statement;

It is 33 years since the residents of Kwangju city south Korea on the 18th of May 1980 rose up against the rotten and reactionary corrupt rule of the south Korean fascist puppet regime of Chun Du Hwan and the colonial domination of US imperialism over south Korea. The Kwangju uprising was a brave and heroic manifestation of the anti -fascist, anti- imperialist struggle of the south Korean popular masses and revolutionaries led by the Revolutionary Party for Reunification (later AINDF) .
The Kwangju uprising added a new chapter to the history of the struggle of the south Korean people for independence ,democracy and reunification . The heroism, courage and self-sacrifice of the Kwangju uprisers was truly remarkable .
The Kwangju uprising was a great inspiration to the peoples of the third world struggling against neo colonialism and dictatorial regimes and it was a great example to anti imperialist and anti fascist fighters throughout the entire world . The Kwangju up risers fought bravely against the suppression of the armed forces of the south Korean puppet regime backed by the US imperialist aggression troops . The blood they shed was not in vain as one day their deaths will be avenged.
                            The Kwangju uprising showed that independence and social change cannot come peacefully , that counter-revolutionary violence must be defeated  by revolutionary violence.

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Kwangju uprising we salute the heroic spirit of the Kwangju uprisers . Quotation of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG on revisionism (1963)

At present, revisionists are spreading all sorts of anti-Marxist, opportunist theories and widely propagating reactionary bourgeois ideologies and the corrupt bourgeois way of life, thereby paralysing the class and revolutionary consciousness of the working people and, especially, ruining the younger generation ideologically.
The modem revisionists betray the revolutionary principles of Marxism-Leninism and deny the necessity of revolutionary struggle and class struggle. Clamouring that “All men are equal; the whole world is one”, the revisionists repudiate the class outlook and preach the supra-class “outlook of mankind”, or “universal outlook”.
In the field of art, too, they draw no distinct line between the revolutionary art of the working class and the reactionary art of the bourgeoisie, and advocate the supra-class “art of mankind”. The revisionists consider that the working class ought to learn the corrupt capitalist way of life, and believe that the revolutionary working class ought to learn the foul songs and dances which the capitalists enjoy when getting drunk and taking licentious pleasures. They maintain that the class character of art is absolutely unnecessary.
Where revisionism has found its way, people are more and more bereft of love for and pride in their socialist country and are being reduced to egoists who only want a life of luxury for themselves. This means a return to the bourgeois ideology of mammonism. What sort of unselfish struggle for the state and revolution can be expected from a person who knows only money and pursues only personal pleasure? If a person chooses this path, he will not even hesitate to betray his country. One case resulting from this was that of a girl student in a certain country who was so infected with revisionist ideology that she thought it an honour to marry an American espionage agent.
One of our students got himself contaminated with revisionism while studying in a foreign country and was gradually tempted into a depraved life. It is said that he has finally arrived at a point where he feels sorry that he was born a Korean. This is of course a peculiar case. But at any rate, once people are affected and demoralized by revisionism, they will end up by rejecting their country and seeking only their own pleasure.
The revisionists are the agents of the imperialists. At present the imperialists are using the revisionists as their stooges in their manoeuvres to spread counter-revolutionary, non-class ideologies within our ranks and to soften up our camp. Therefore, in order to prevent the penetration of revisionism, further cement the ideological unity of our revolutionary ranks and carry on a successful struggle against imperialism and the landlord and capitalist classes, it is more urgent than ever that class education be intensified.

Talk to the Senior Officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea

This year is an eventful year which marks the 40^th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic and the 35^th anniversary of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

In recognition of these anniversaries, we are going to hold a national meeting of heroes on a grand scale.

The aim of this national meeting of heroes is to advance the revolutionary cause of Juche victoriously by carrying forward the heroic fighting traditions of our people, with the revolutionary banner held higher, and by effecting a continuous upsurge in the revolution and construction.

Immediately after the end of the Fatherland Liberation War, the great leader convened a national meeting of war heroes and encouraged our People's Army and our people to continue to perform heroic exploits in the struggle for national defence and postwar reconstruction with the spirit and stamina they had displayed in defeating the US imperialists. The first heroes' meeting held 35 years ago made a great contribution to inspiring our people to overcome triumphantly the difficulties and trials standing in their way by displaying mass heroism.

The forthcoming national meeting of heroes will be a historic occasion for rousing all the people to a new heroic struggle to achieve the complete victory of socialism and hasten the reunification of the country.

Today our revolution is entering an important phase.

Under the leadership of the Party, our people have fought a hard struggle and done a great deal of work in building socialism. If, through an uninterrupted, efficient struggle, we carry out the Third Seven-Year Plan successfully, we shall be able to display the superiority of our socialist system to the full and make a decisive turn in the struggle for the complete victory of socialism.

The south Korean people are now fighting strongly against the United States and for independence, against fascism and for democracy, as well as for national reunification. Young people, student sand broad sections of the people in south Korea have realized the truth of the Juche idea, and the trend among them to reunify the country in cooperation with the people in the northern half of Korea is mounting as never before. This means that the situation is maturing in favor of national reunification. If, in this situation, we accelerate socialist construction and give it greater momentum, it will be a great inspiration to the fighting south Korean people and will further hasten the reunification of the country.

Today socialism and imperialism are standing in acute confrontation in Korea in all fields of politics, the economy, military and culture.

With the wild dream of obliterating the cause of socialism and communism, the imperialists are making frantic moves against the socialist countries and the international communist movement. They are threatening the socialist countries militarily by their continued pursuance of power politics and are employing all sorts of cunning schemes to damage the socialist countries politically and economically, ideologically and culturally.

The US imperialists in particular are concentrating their attack on our country in league with the Japanese reactionaries and other imperialist forces of the world.

The US imperialists have made south Korea their colony and nuclear war base and are trying to obstruct our people's cause of national reunification and socialist construction, defame our country and isolate it in the international arena.

They are doing so because our Party and our people are firmly opposed to imperialism and are confidently following the road of socialism, with the revolutionary banner of the Juche idea always unfurled. They fear the fact that our Republic is strengthening daily to become an indestructible bulwark that thwarts their aggressive Asia-Pacific strategy. They are also afraid of our revolutionary influence on the south Korean people and on the progressive people throughout the world.

How to counter the frantic imperialist offensive against socialism is a matter of principle that affects the destiny of our revolution and socialism.

Our Party and our people have assumed a heavy responsibility to our times and to history. We must keep the banner of revolution, the banner of socialism, flying, by foiling the enemy's frenzied attacks and effecting a steady advance in socialist construction. We must never weaken, but continue to maintain the high enthusiasm being displayed in the current 200-day campaign. We must follow this campaign with a 2,000-day campaign and then a 20,000-day campaign. This is the way to carry the revolutionary cause of Juche through to the end and to discharge the heavy responsibility we have assumed before the world revolution.

This is precisely our Party's intention in convening the national meeting of heroes, that is to rouse all the Party members and other working people to a heroic struggle.

Our people have the proud traditions of fighting heroically for the fatherland and for the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The great leader Comrade Kim ll Sung began our people's heroic struggle and led this struggle to victory at each stage of the development of the revolution, and under his loving care great numbers of heroes have grown up through the generations.

The anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle was the most glorious one in which our people, under the banner of the Juche idea, defeated a formidable imperialism for the first time in their history. It was the most heroic struggle which was waged unyieldingly for a long period, despite the unprecedented arduous and harsh trials.

The anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters are the first proud generation of heroes produced by our people. With the respected Comrade Kim ll Sung as the core of unity and the centre of leadership, they displayed an incomparable heroic and self-sacrificing spirit in their fight against the Japanese imperialists, overcoming all manner of difficulty and hardship. They held the unshakable conviction that living or dying on the path of the revolution directed by the people's leader, whom our nation had acclaimed for the first time in their history of several thousand years, was the source of honor. They never failed to fulfill their revolutionary obligations to the leader as his soldiers in any adversity, and were unfailingly loyal to the revolutionary cause. The exploits performed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters in defending the leader of our revolution with their lives in the most trying conditions and in contributing to the establishment of the glorious revolutionary traditions of our Party and to the accomplishment of the cause of national liberation, hold a glorious place in the history of our revolution.

In view of both their distinguished service and their fighting spirit, they are the model of revolutionaries and the paragons of heroism whom our people must follow from generation to generation.

Our Party respects and values them as the veterans of our revolution, and shows deep concern for the anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs so that they hold a permanent place in the history of our nation.

The three-year-long Fatherland Liberation War was our people's grimmest struggle after liberation.

It was a great revolutionary war of worldwide significance, a war in which our people defended their motherland and inflicted the first-ever defeat on US imperialism, the ringleader of world imperialism, by waging a national, heroic struggle. It was, indeed, a miracle that our newly-liberated people could defeat the powerful US imperialists in this war. At the time the enemy forces were incomparably superior to ours both numerically and technologically. The US imperialists mobilized for the Korean war their vast army, navy and air force armed with modern weapons and the latest equipment as well as the armies of their 15 satellites, and conducted the most cruel and brutal warfare. The young People's Army and our people were able to defeat these enemies because they fought heroically, displaying the indomitable fighting spirit of their anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and trusted and united closely behind the great leader, the legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war and the ever-victorious, iron-willed, brilliant commander.

Our people, who had experienced a decent life and real happiness as masters of factories and land for the first time in their own liberated country, fought the aggressors self-sacrificingly, remembering that the motherland was more precious than their own lives and that it was their obligation to prove themselves, even at the cost of their lives, worthy of the benevolence shown by the leader, the leader who had won back the country for them.

In response to the orders of the Comrade Supreme Commander, the soldiers of the People's Army defended every inch of the country with their blood. They fell upon the enemy tanks and warships and destroyed them and silenced enemy pillboxes with their breasts, as if their bodies were bombs, in fierce, decisive encounters, and so ensured victory in battle. Truly, the soldiers of the People's Army fought bravely, sacrificing their youth and their lives without hesitation for the sake of the country and the people. During the war the people on the home front also fought well. Eyen the women, old people and children came out in support of the battle front and produced war supplies, defended their factories and their villages and towns, and so made a great contribution to victory in the war.

For their matchless mass heroism displayed during the Fatherland Liberation War, our people were called a heroic people by the world.

The large numbers of heroes produced during this war are a source of pride for our people and a valuable asset of our revolution.

The anti-Japanese fighters made an immortal contribution to winning back the lost country; the heroes of the Fatherland Liberation War made a great contribution to defending the motherland from US imperialist aggression and to demonstrating the heroic mettle of our liberated people to the whole world.

The war heroes, heroes of a new generation produced by the Republic, are a splendid model in educating our younger generation and the people in loyalty to the Party and the leader and in the spirit of patriotism.

Our people not only fought heroically in the wars against the Japanese and US imperialists, but also performed heroic exploits in their endeavors to create a new life.

No war in history has ever devastated every town and village and reduced them all to ashes as the war did in our country. Nor is there any historical precedent for having constructed new towns and villages from the rubble and having built socialism so wonderfully in so short a time as in our country. The US imperialists have a shameful record in the history of criminal destruction, whereas our people have an honorable record in the history of fruitful construction. The fact that our people have achieved such a miraculous success in spite of the ceaseless aggressive maneuvers and obstructive actions of the US imperialists and their minions is an eloquent demonstration of the amazing heroism they have displayed in postwar reconstruction and in building socialism.

The Chollima Movement and the great upsurge in socialist construction are a clear expression of our people's mass heroism. The heroes who were produced on the great Chollima march formed the front rank in the work of re-educating the people as well as being the standard-bearers of the collective innovation movement, heroes who acquired the truth of the Juche idea that man decides everything.

They educated and transformed people along communist lines so that everyone participated in making collective innovations in production and construction, helping and leading each other forward, under the slogan "One for all and all for one!".

The heroes in the days of the great Chollima upsurge made a historic contribution to turning the work of re-educating people into the concern of the masses themselves and to ushering in the heyday of socialist construction, by carrying through the revolutionary mass line of our Party.

The unassuming heroes who are being produced in large numbers from among our people today are model communists of the Juche type. They believe firmly in the Juche idea and our Party's policies, the application of this idea, and have been discharging their responsibilities and playing their roles as masters of the revolution and construction whether they are recognized or not. Our unassuming heroes are people who have acquired the attitude of master towards the revolution and construction and made it their life blood.

The unassuming heroes are the heroes of a new type who represent our times, when the modeling of the whole of society on the Juche idea is developing in depth.

We are trying to transform the whole of society after the Juche idea in order to train all the members of society to be communist people of the Juche type who live and work in accordance with the Juche idea, just as the unassuming heroes do.

The daily-growing numbers of unassuming heroes prove the validity of our Party's consistent policy for transforming people along communist lines as well as the superiority of our socialist system,

In our country there are also a large number of well-known heroes and unsung heroes who have devoted everything in their possession to the sacred causes of defending our revolutionary achievements and our people's security and of reunifying our country and making it prosperous. Our Party and our people will never forget their heroic services.

The ranks of our heroes, that were first formed during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, have continued to grow, and our people's heroism, that has been carried forward and developed through the generations, has now become universal among the masses and a part of their everyday life. This means that our people's heroism has entered a new, higher stage in which every member of society is becoming a hero.

Our Party wants everyone to become a hero, and in our society everyone can become a hero.

Living and fighting like heroes means struggling with total devotion for the revolutionary cause of the popular masses, not for one's own interests and fame.

In the old society of exploiters only exceptional people with outstanding qualities were considered heroes. However, the heroes we refer to are those people who enjoy the love and respect of the people for the great services they have rendered for the good of the fatherland and the people, the society and the collective. In our society, where the people have become the masters of the country, not only those with outstanding qualities, but also the ordinary people can all become heroes.

A man who is completely devoted to the common cause of the popular masses can become a war hero by silencing an enemy gun muzzle with his chest in a battle to defend the country; in socialist construction he can become either a labor hero by making innovations, or an unassuming hero by making a valuable contribution to the building of socialism while quietly carrying out his duties as befits a master.

To live like a hero and to become a hero is the most valuable and worthwhile way of life and the highest honor for an independent man.

Man does not live in isolation, but as a member of society and of the collective.

Therefore, the worth of his life is appraised by how much he contributes to the society and the collective. The greater contribution someone's life has made to the country, the nation and the revolutionary cause of the people, the more valuable that life is.

Only a man who leads such a worthwhile life can feel the real value of life.

If a man was to live only for his own sake, in isolation from the society and the collective, his life would be utterly worthless. The life of such a man would be as meaningless as if he had not been born because he would neither contribute anything to the society and the collective, nor leave anything for them.

Living a worthwhile life for the society and the collective and spending one's whole life meaninglessly for one's own self-interest represent two fundamentally different attitudes towards life.

A life which is spent only for the individual's sake ends with the death of the individual. His life has no future. There is an end to the life of an individual, but the society and the collective exist and develop for ever. A life which contributes to the good of the society and the collective not only benefits the person himself and his generation but also creates a lasting future for the society and the collective. Such a life, indeed, conforms to man's inherent desire for independence; it is a worthy life which enables a man to perform his duty as a member of the society and the collective. If a man only seeks his own comfort, irrespective of what becomes of the society and the collective, his life will essentially be no different to that of an animal. No noble self-sacrifice or heroic deed can be expected from a man who is selfish. Heroic deeds can only be performed by a man who believes the greatest value and worth in life to be to contribute to the society and the collective, which are eternal and incomparably more precious than his own individual self.

Living and fighting heroically is the way for a man to exalt his most precious socio-political integrity and make himself immortal.

Both man's physical life and his socio-political integrity are precious. A sound physical life helps in one's socio-political activities. But socio-political integrity is more valuable for a man, a social being. It is only when people form a social organism and acquire socio-political integrity that they can shape their destiny independently and live like men, as the masters of the world and of their own destiny A man's physical life is mortal, but his socio-political integrity as part of the social organism is immortal.

Socio-political integrity is honored in the struggle to meet the desires of the society and the collective. These desires are represented by the Party and the leader.

Therefore, a man can add lasting glory to his socio-political integrity if he is loyal to the Party and the leader and fights heroically to implement the Party's line and policies.

A long life is not necessarily the measure of the value of one’s life. A man ought to live like a hero even if he only lives a short while. Our Party wants everyone to live and fight like a hero because it wants everyone to enjoy a most valuable and worthy life. In former days, people did not know what was meant by a heroic life, and there was no one who could guide them to lead a heroic life. So there were many instances of people, in spite of loving their country and nation ardently, failing to find the right course for their struggle, shedding their blood in vain and spending their whole lives fruitlessly. Nowadays, our Party is leading our people in a heroic struggle. Anyone who follows the leadership of the Party and the leader loyally and works with devotion in carrying out his revolutionary tasks can enjoy a worthwhile life and become a hero.

Today our people are living in the most glorious era of struggle in the long history of our nation.

To win the complete victory of socialism and reunify the country are our sacred duties to history and to our nation; these are urgent tasks that must be carried out by our generation.

The most difficult yet important task in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, that has been initiated and directed by the leader, is to achieve the complete victory of socialism. We must attain the goal of the complete victory of socialism and thus open up a broad path to the ideal society of communism.

At a time when the colonial system has collapsed throughout the world and when all the liberated people are following the road of independence, it is intolerable that colonial rule has been imposed on half of our country by the US imperialists for more than 40 years in the wake of Japanese imperialist colonial rule. We must, without fail, reunify the country in our generation and put an end to the history of national suffering.

Anyone who has the blood of a heroic Korean must always remember the mission entrusted to him by history and his nation, and must take part in this sacred struggle and render heroic services.

If he becomes a laggard in this momentous struggle led by the great Party and the great leader, it will be a disgrace to him throughout his life and the stain will be passed down to posterity.

We must carry forward our people's glorious fighting traditions and rouse all the people forcefully to a heroic struggle to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.

We must enhance the leadership role of our Party in order to press on with the heroic struggle of all the people.

All the heroic struggles of our people in the past have been conducted under the direct guidance of the great leader. He has led our people's heroic struggle personally not only during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the Fatherland Liberation War but also in the period of socialist construction. He lit the torch of the Chollima Movement and trained the working people to be Chollima riders and heroes. He has discovered unassuming heroes and led a mass movement to emulate them.

We must learn from the great examples shown by the leader, and guide the all-people, heroic struggle of today properly.

Party organizations must conduct energetic political and organizational activities to rouse all the Party members and working people to the heroic struggle.

"Let us all live and struggle like heroes!"-this is our Party's requirement and the slogan that we must shout now. We must encourage all the Party members and working people to advance under this militant slogan so that the whole of society is imbued with heroic mettle with which all of them make continual innovations and a continuous advance by displaying boundless devotion and an indomitable fighting spirit and wiping out all indolent easygoing attitudes, conservatism and lethargy, and fight courageously, full of confidence and optimism, sweeping away cowardice and defeatism.

Ours is the age of science and technology. The mass heroism of our people must be combined with modern science and technology.

We must press ahead with the technical and cultural revolutions, along with the ideological revolution, and quickly raise the working people's scientific, technical and cultural levels so that they make greater achievements in socialist construction.

The Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement and the campaign to follow the examples of the unassuming heroes, which are developing under our Party's leadership, are powerful mass movements to transform people along communist lines and bring about collective innovations in socialist construction. But these movements are not displaying their advantages and vitality as mass movements to the full because Party organizations do not employ a correct methodology to give efficient guidance to them. The lifeblood of a mass movement lies in its being the movement of the masses themselves. Party organizations must radically improve their guidance of the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement and the campaign to emulate the unassuming heroes. In this way they will ensure that these movements become a powerful motive force capable of rousing all the working people to conduct heroic activities in keeping with the Party’s intention to induce them to perform great services for the country and the people and enjoy a valuable and worthwhile life; they will also ensure that these campaigns fully become movements of the masses themselves.

Party organizations should work well with heroes.

This is very important in imbuing our society with the revolutionary spirit to live and struggle in a heroic way and in expanding the ranks of heroes ceaselessly.

Party organizations must treasure and lead well our heroes who, in support of the Party, have performed exploits for the country and the people, so that they continue to flourish. They must respect the heroes and place them at the fore, and create the social climate for emulating them.

Good preparations should be made for the heroes’ meeting.

The meeting will be attended by anti-Japanese revolutionary veterans, heroes of the Fatherland Liberation War, people who have become heroes during post-war reconstruction and socialist construction and unassuming heroes, as well as people who have performed distinguished services and made innovations for the country and the people.

We must make sure that the heroes' meeting is held on a large scale, in a grand manner and at a high political and ideological level.

It is the unshakable will of our Party to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche down through the generations under the revolutionary banner of the Juche idea. We must ensure that the forthcoming heroes' meeting demonstrates to the world both our Party's will to carry through the Juche-orientated revolutionary line with absolute consistency and the unconquerable might of our people who are fighting heroically, united solidly behind our Party.

The Chollima Movement- symbolic of a legendary horse that runs 1,000-ri (250km) at a gallop, Chollima symbolizes the revolutionary mettle of the Korean people who build socialism at a very fast speed.

During the great upsurge of socialist construction occasioned by the December 1956 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Chollima movement was launched.

It was an all-people movement to eliminate all that is backward in all realms of the economy, culture, ideology, morality and step up socialist construction to the maximum. It has become the general line of the WPK.

Developing into the Chollima workteam movement, the movement brought about a high speed and upsurge in socialist construction through the edification of the working people.

In this process the revolutionary spirit of Chollima was created- the spirit of eliminating all manner of passivism and conservatism and advancing without letup at the speed of Chollima.
