39 years without taxation in the DPRK

On the 21st of March it was 39 years since the Democratic People's Republic of Korea abolished the taxation system . In the capitalist countries for the past 40 or so years politicians have put up the slogan  of "cutting taxes " but the DPRK on the 21st of March 1974 went one better and abolished taxes.  Here in the UK despite talk of so-called tax reduction working people still pay a high proportion of their income in direct and indirect taxes-income tax(PAYE) national insurance, VAT , council tax etc .
The DPRK does not have a budgetary deficit and provides a wide range of social benefits for its people including virtually free housing, free education, free health care etc. This is all funded by the profits of socially owned industries.
Read the work of the great leader President Kim Il Sung on the subject here
