Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- It is a fundamental principle for
accomplishing the socialist cause to adhere to Juche character and
national identity in the revolution and construction, says Rodong Sinmun
on Monday in a bylined article.
Every country and nation should adhere to Juche character and national identity in the revolution and construction now that imperialists and reactionaries are running the whole gamut of moves to obstruct the human cause of independence, the cause of socialism, the article notes, and goes on:
Adhering to Juche character means that the popular masses carve out the destiny of their country and nation independently and creatively as masters. And holding fast to national identity means they preserve and develop the peculiar and advantageous features of their nation and embody them in all fabrics of social life.
The cause of socialism is an independent revolutionary cause which advances and is accomplished thanks to the struggle of the popular masses for achieving independence.
The imperialists and reactionaries are blatantly challenging the human cause of independence, the cause of socialism, while desperately disturbing the independent development of other countries and nations.
If a country and nation fail to adhere to Juche character and national identity under such situation, they may not only allow themselves applying other's prescription unsuitable to them but make it impossible to protect their history, tradition and custom and, moreover, they may put the sovereignty of the country and the nation's destiny at peril.
