The Association for Study of Songun Politics UK and Juche Idea Study Group of England today issued a statement on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the start of work of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
This was a landmark event as the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il took the helm of the Korean revolution and led the work of party-building for several decades . The WPK is the general staff of the Korean revolution and the organiser and guide of the socialist construction in Korea.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il started work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19th 1964. This was at a time which was exciting and heady heady period for both the Korean revolution and the world revolution. The Korean revolution was forging ahead under the banner of the Juche idea under the wise leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung . Throughout the world the struggle against imperialism had intensified but the international communist movement faced confusion and division. The WPK maintained an independent Juche position and did not get sucked into the whirlpool of confusion,division , modern revisionism and Left opportunism. The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il had already written many brilliant works exposing imperialism and revisionism , when he started work at the Party central committee.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was an energetic and diligent party worker who strove to establish the monolithic ideological system of Juche in the WPK . He led the struggle against the anti-party counter-revolutionary factionalists. The WPK became a rock-solid party united in thought and action powerfully leading the forward march of Juche socialism.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that WPK was built up as the party of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung . He put forward the concept of not only modelling the whole party on the Juche idea but the whole society. As a result society in the DPRK forms, an integral and harmonious whole of the party,leader and masses , the like of which is not seen anywhere else in the world.
Comrade Kim Jong Il built the WPK into the motherly party taking care of the people's lives . He fully affirmed the WPK's supreme principle as one of improving the living standards of the people. Under his guidance the WPK took many epochal measures to improve the people's living standards and even during the arduous march period the DPRK maintained a high level of social benefits.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il paid close attention to both the theory and practice of party building. He wrote many highly significant works on the subject such as " The Workers' Party of Korea is a Juche-type revolutionary party which inherited the glorious tradition of the DIU" , "Juche-orientated theory on party building is a guideline to be adhered to in the building of a working-class party ", "Fundamentals of Revolutionary Party building" and "The Workers' Party of Korea is the party of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung ".
The WPK became widely known as a model for the revolutionary parties of the world. It is an example of party building that inspires the revolutionaries and progressives throughout the work in their struggle for socialism.
For his great exploits in the cause of Juche-orientated party building over a number of decades, the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was acclaimed as eternal General secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea at the 4th conference of the WPK in April this year. The conference declared Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guiding ideology of the WPK.
Under the wise leadership of dear respected First Secretary Kim Jong Un the WPK will march victoriously along the road of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
