UK KFA and JISGE commentary - DPRK increases public spending no cutbacks in the DPRK

The DPRK held a meeting of the Supreme People's Assembly on the 13th of April. There was a report on the state budget.  It was decided to increase public spending for the coming financial year.
Overall public spending will increase by 10.7 %. This is in complete contrast to the severe cutbacks in public spending announced in a number of capitalist countries including our own country.
Spending  for  education will increase by 9.2 percent, that for public health 8.9 percent, that for social insurance and social security 7 percent, that for sports 6.9 percent and that for culture 6.8 percent over last year. It is particularly noteworthy that spending on education , health and welfare are being increased in the DPRK while in there are plans to cut welfare spending by 5%.
All this testifies to the superiority of Juche-based socialism centred upon the popular masses and the might of the independent national economy created by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and the correctness of the policies of respected general Kim Jong Un.
