UK KFA letter of protest to US and south Korea over Key Resolve

Dear Sir
the UK Korean Friendship Association wishes to protest very strongly against the holding of the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle military exercises in south Korea ,consecutively from the 27th of Fiebruary until the end of April.
Given the duration and numbers of troops involved these cannot be construed by any stretch of the imagination as "defensive ". These exercises are clearly offensive and resemble the former "Team Spirit " war exercises. These exercises are basically a test for a nuclear war against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea . They aim to destroy Korean style socialism, which is a beacon of hope and inspiration for the world's people, by force .The exercises are a clear threat not only to the independence of the DPRK but also to peace on the Korean peninsula, in north East Asia and the world.

We demand the exercises are immediately cancelled. Furthermore in order to achieve lasting peace and stablity in Korea the US should withdraw its from the south of Korea and sign a peace treaty with the DPRK
