Statement of ASSPUK and JISGE on the 14th anniversary of the election of Kim Jong Il as WPK general secretary

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group of England issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 14th anniversary(on the 8th of October) of the election of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il , sun of Songun , as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

This was an important event which put the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il firmly at the helm of the Worker's Party of Korea and the Songun revolution. The WPK smoothly solved the "succession issue" which had been such a difficult and thorny problem in other socialist countries where the failure to solve the question properly had led to the degeneration and frustration of socialism in some countries. This was a great victory for the WPK and contributed to strengthening the world socialist movement.
It was a profound manifestation of the deep trust of the Korean people and members of the Workers' Party of Korea that they chose to elect him as general secretary of the Workers' Party.
The ever invincible iron unity of the people around the party was further enhanced.
As general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il has powerfully built up the WPK as the party of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung.
He led the party through the raging storms of anti-socialism (kicked off by modern revisionism and imperialism) and through the arduous march and forced march.
The 14 years of leadership by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il have years of progress and victory . The DPRK has become a socialist independent nuclear power during those years and a satellite launching nation . New land has been created by land realignment and tideland reclamation .
Today unprecedented miracles and victories are being wrought by the Korean people under the WPK 's leadership under the guidance of the Songun revolutionary leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il. The socialist economy of the DPRK is becoming more and more independent . Self-reliance is being combined with CNC technology to produce great results. New multi-storied buildings are soaring into the sky adding glory to socialist Korea. ASSPUK and JISGE salute 14 years of glorious leadership of the WPK.
