Rodong Sinmun on Victory of Socialism

Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Transition from capitalism to socialism is the law governing the development of human society and this means the process in which the cause of socialism is emerging victorious, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a bylined article.

It goes on:

Popular masses have always longed for a new social system protecting and bringing them independence and waged a strenuous struggle to realize their centuries-old desire under the system where the reactionary rulers lord it over, violating independence.

Socialism is a sacred ideal and a revolutionary banner of the popular masses who struggle for independence.

The popular masses could not achieve independence in the society ruled by hostile classes because it was the society based on individualism.

The gap between the rich and the poor is widening in the capitalist countries due to the capitalist exploitation and plunder and, consequently, the sovereign rights of the toiling masses are wantonly violated.

The deeper political and economic crisis capitalism finds itself in and the harsher the capitalist exploitation and oppression get, the fiercer the struggle of the working masses against them grow.

As long as there are imperialist forces, the struggle of the world people against them will be intensified and in this course the cause of socialism is bound to triumph.

The imperialists make last-ditch efforts to bring down socialism. This proves that socialism is a society indisputably superior to capitalism.

Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses winning victory after victory as the days go by serves as a beacon of hope and a banner of victory for the progressive people who desire socialism or struggle to build it. -0-
